  1. Technically it is a re-arranged game so ok to be up against Chumps League as long as not live on TV. We played St J last year when the Chumps League was on I think
  2. I thought that price tag was for a referendum not for whatever public opinion they got from the displays. Are they now having giving the public a vote on two designs they didn't want for a project they never asked for?
  3. Perhaps this explains alot: Lifted from P&B this is apparently UKIOS Bankus share price over the last 6 months:
  4. East fife have one stand and I don't think have any room for standing elsewhere. Neither should be an issue for the Bloo Toon. Hope they don't move it
  5. When it says he won't want to recoup his losses does that mean the debt to UKIOS or whatever they are called? Either way if he thinks he is getting £50M for Hearts he is even more mental than we previously thought
  6. Really hope it is Forfar, cannae be fucked with Stranraer and Forfar look to have a nice wee ground. Only issue for us weegies maybe travelling up with the huns who are playing at Arbroath (although I guess it will be moved for tv) Anyway Station Park: or Stair Park:
  7. Scottish Cup fourth-round draw Airdrie United v Dundee United Arbroath v Rangers Cowdenbeath v Hibernian Culter or Partick Thistle v Queen of the South Dundee v Kilmarnock Falkirk v East Fife Hearts v Auchinleck Talbot Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Dunfermline Athletic Livingston v Ayr United or Montrose Motherwell v Elgin City or Queen's Park Peterhead v Celtic Raith Rovers v Morton Ross County v Stenhousemuir St Mirren v Hamilton Academical St Johnstone v Brechin City Stranraer or Forfar Athletic v Aberdeen Ties to be played 7/8 January Not the most exiting of draw. Talbot at Tyncastle gives a bit of novelty value, St J v Brechin produced a couple of cracking games last season and potentially tricky games for United and Killie but otherwise fairly uninspiring.
  8. I'd be up for some proper old school terracing here rather than the muddy grassy banks at Alloa and Stranraer I have been at in recent years
  9. I would say talk of relegation dog fight is hysterical nonsense but maybe it's what the team needs to give them a kick up the backside. We're clearly mid-table at best (whether that is top or bottom 6 time will tell) thus losing to the top 3 (who are clear by some distance) is no great shock or hardship. We had two great wins prior to that and I'll save my panicking for if we are still in this same situation in a months time.
  10. wtf were Chalalalalali and Fallon for? Get some fucking fullbacks and wingers in first to create chances for fallon and vernon first Mackie should be sent to Peterhead or some such place however
  11. Having been to Stranaer for a league cup tie in August a few years ago not sure I fancy it too much in Jan....and having never been to Forfar I'll go for that Don't see why, perfectly serviceable ground, just a small crowd and that is no reason to switch grounds: http://www.scottishgrounds.co.uk/peterhead.htm
  12. Stunning result from Culter and nice to see Jackie getting some much warranted abuse there. Bit gutted the replay is on Saturday as if it had been midweek I would have headed along to Firhill but will be at East End Park instead. Although they didn't win must go down as one of the biggest shocks in Scottish Cup history. the North Juniors are recognised as being pretty crap and their top sides usually get pumped out the Junior Cup by lower league and West and East sides and is a step below at least the top half of the Highland League (none of whom even got a draw yesterday). Anyway here are the rest of the results, draw is on Tuesday at 1030am, wonder who will be knocking us out this year? Scottish Cup Airdrie Utd 11-0 Gala Fairydean Auchinleck Talbot 3-1 Vale Of Leithen Ayr 2-2 Montrose Boness Utd 0-3 Cowdenbeath Brechin 3-0 Dumbarton Culter 1-1 Partick Thistle East Fife 5-0 East Stirling Elgin 1-1 Queen's Park Inverurie Locos 2-4 Peterhead Irvine Meadow 0-6 Livingston Keith 0-1 Arbroath Morton 5-1 Deveronvale Ross County 4-0 Albion Stenhousemuir 4-0 Annan Athletic Stirling 1-2 Dundee Stranraer 1-1 Forfar
  13. Frustrating game and showed up our biggest problems this season, lack of creativity and lack of strength in depth. We were the better side and in terms of possession in territory deserved at the very least a point. Problem was we really created very little against what to be fair was a stubborn, packed and decent well defence. The first goal came from a a ridiculously amateur foul committed by McArdle and how we lost the 2nd to a ball through the middle to a guy on his own with two defenders next to him I'm not sure (cracking finish however). With Arniston, Fallon and Jack we would have got more from that game but we will not have our first XI on the park more often than we do. I would suggest in Jan we need cover for the full back positions and some kind of width (Sone?). I've come away from many games this season feeling we deserved more than we got but that isn't going to help us and being joint bottom this far into the season is completely unacceptable. I've already seen people calling for Broon's head and that pressure is only likely to increase. Terrible crowd on what was a gorgeous day in Aberdeen is also concerning, especially after two such good home victories before the OF games and enforced break. A win next week is a must then with Killie, St Mirren, Hibs and ICT in the following games if we don't pick up a decent collection of points we never will this season. Finally on a side note, and I have posted at length elsewhere about this, but yet again a shocking display from the Police and Stewards in the away end. 'Well fans didn't help themselves but they very near caused a riot yesterday out of thin air. The continued drive to prevent people from having any fun or excitement at football continues a pace.
  14. I don't have sound but it looks good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djIZyGPZ4rM&feature=player_embedded#!
  15. right everyone is getting afc related crap for xmas this year
  16. My first reaction was how big and ostentatious is this theatre if he needs to sell a football club to fund it's purchase, then I remembered it was Hearts so I guess it is the equivalent of the Aboyne Community Theatre
  17. He presented me with my cheque when I won the half time draw a few years back. He was in plaster at the time thus free for such promotional activity. Seemed a decent enough bloke, but then he was giving me a great big cheque. Do they even do the half time draw anymore?
  18. :lolabove: and also to stop me from vomiting at the photos mizer has just posted.
  19. Do they have any other pending HMRC bills or was that the only one?
  20. To be fair it is a survey relating to afc (and I don't think any of us would could the Aberdeenshire Cup or Shield in our calculations)
