  3. wtf were the stewards screaming at the players for?
  4. Pretty tight down in the bottom-six. Bit depressing to still be on the same points as Hibs despite our two good wins, esp with the OF coming uo. 1 Rangers 11 19 29 2 Motherwell 11 1 22 3 Celtic 10 10 19 4 Hearts 11 7 18 5 St Johnstone 11 5 18 6 St Mirren 11 -1 13 7 Aberdeen 11 -1 12 8 Kilmarnock 11 -3 11 9 Dundee Utd 11 -7 10 10 Hibernian 11 -8 9 11 Dunfermline 10 -11 9 12 Inverness CT 11 -11 8
  5. Great result for Devronvale. Not sure there were any other shocks although the Broch managed a draw with Elgin and the Bloo Toon actually won a game Feel sorry for Golspie. Must be the longest journey in senior football, all to get humped in front of what was no doubt 2 men and a dog, probably barely broke even even counting prize money. One more round till we join the fray and one game still to be played tomorrow - 'Shire v Buckie Alloa 2-2 Annan Athletic Auchinleck T 8-1 Threave Rvrs Boness Utd 2-1 Whitehill W Clachnacuddin 1-1 Inverurie Locos Culter 0-2 Spartans Deveronvale 4-0 Berwick Edinburgh City 0-1 Irvine Meadow Fraserburgh 0-0 Elgin Gala Fairydean 5-2 Golspie Sutherland Huntly 0-3 Queen's Park Montrose 2-1 Clyde Peterhead 2-0 Nairn County Vale Of Leithen 3-2 Cove Rangers Wick Academy 0-1 Keith Wigtown & Bladnoch 0-9 Stranraer
  6. £26 restricted view, although it's probably a better view than unrestricted which is too low down the stand
  7. A Triumphal Arch to celebrate AFC's championship winning side
  8. Community Stadium? Who they kidding? Edinburgh Council will have even less cash the Aberdeen Council (cunts) thanks to the tram fuck up so can't see that they would be putting anything much into that. What happened to the idea of linking up with the SRU and Edinburgh Rugby? Not sure what the "severe restictions" are to their current set up is anyway. They don't sell out, nobody does, and it's their own fault they didn't build more corporate into the other new stands.
  9. Half thought about catching a game but it's going to be raining so fuck that
  10. Not the greatest programme in the world and seemed to be primarily about historical events (which I suppose can show a pattern of behaviour) but alot of it seemed to be rumour, suggestion and inuendo with very little proof., meanwhile I'm still not that clear on the current financial predicament. Still it'll get the huns backs up and that's always good for a laugh ps The presenter's voice is fucking annoying
  11. 12. 4, 5 and 6 look to be the least intrusive and offensive. 1 looks fucking horrific, 2 is a shit picture so can't judge and 3 looks a bit shit. Of course none of this expensive waste of time needs to be done, far cheaper to let Peacock do their thing and do up the arches a bit and spend the other milions of something more worthwhile like, re-opening Bon Accord Baths, 50m swimming pool, doing up Union Street, sorting out the fucking mess that is the road infrastructure or bunging it to afc for debt consolidation.
  13. Great to finally see a win after managing to miss all the others so far this season. For the first time in what seems like decades we are genuinely threatening at set pieces, although the carnage that was the united defence has to be taken into account. Osbourne is an absolute beast and if we can keep one out of him and Arnie I'd go for him (although I'd obviously love to keep both). Does mean that Fyvie (and to a lesser extent Jack) are shunted out of position but hopefully both will try a learn from the new roles and the performances of the two in the middle. Fallon and Vernon should be starting every game now. Considine and Mawene are doing ok together but will make mistakes over the course of a season, but given a chance will hopefully do well enough. Only negative this weekend was again Chris Clark. I would be fucking raging if I was Pawlett that this clown got on the park instead of me. anyway onward and upward. Celtic should hold no fear this weekend then the Huns at Pittodrie always has potential.
  14. Maybe he'll do a Pele this weekend. We should head out on Saturday and buy him a drink or two.
  15. I suspect the former, although have absolutely fuck all to base that on. Problem for Whyte is that losing Greig is pretty bad PR for a support that already mistrust him. Shame
  16. In/Oot: In Pre Match: Train up to God's own country with some cunts then some flat nr Pittodrie apparently and/or Northern Bar Match: RDU Post Match: Train with same cunts+1 back to the weeg Crowd: 10000 Prediction: 2 - 1 Dons
  17. Right that's enough with international football for another year and lets look fwd to Saturdays game. Shame we've had over 2wks since our last outing, it always feels as soon as we get a good result we have an international break, but have a chance to leap frog united with a win. Stats don't look promising but United aren't the same team they've been the last few years: 10 Year Record vs United at Pittodrie: Played 17 Won 9 Drawn 3 Lost 5 For 30 Against 18 Last Dons win: 3rd May 2008 2-1 Last United win: 24th Oct 2009 2-0 Last 5 v United: 07 Mar 2011 Dundee United 3 - 1 Aberdeen SPL 7,416 01 Jan 2011 Aberdeen 1 - 1 Dundee United SPL 12,487 11 Sep 2010 Dundee United 3 - 1 Aberdeen SPL 9,793 20 Mar 2010 Aberdeen 2 - 2 Dundee United SPL 9,316 02 Jan 2010 Dundee United 0 - 1 Aberdeen SPL 10,032 Current Form Aberdeen: Played 6 Won 2 Draw 2 Lost 2 For 8 Against 6 United: Played 6 Won 1 Draw 2 Lost 3 For 10 Against 12 Aberdeen: WIN 4-0 v Pars (h) LOSS 0-1 v Well (a) DRAW 2-2 Killie (h) DRAW 0-0 Hibs (a) LOSS 0-2 Huns (a) WIN 2-1 ICT (h) United: LOSS 1-3 Well (h) DRAW 3-3 Hibs (a) WIN 3-1 ICT (h) LOSS 0-1 Huns (h) DRAW 3-3 St Js (a) LOSS 0-1 Pars (h)
  18. Incidentally the u19s captained by Fyvie lost 2 and won 1 of their qualifiers in Slovenia the other week, not sure if it was mentioned anywhere: Scotland 1-2 Slovenia Scotland 3-1 Wales Scotland 1-3 Bulgaria
  19. Jack and Pawlett both featured again last night with Andy Rhodes son getting a hat-trick

  21. Will be interesting to see how this largely new side copes with the perennial humiliating cup defeat to lower league opposition. I would say in our last 3 league games we have been unlucky to come away with only 2points and have deserved more. Hopefully CB,AK and the team use this and the embarrassment of the cup to raise their game a notch and go out there and get a result rather than fail to build on recent league performances and pathetically collapse as per usual. Apparently 'Well have looked pretty shaky in defence recently and the way to beat them is to go defensive and hit them on the break, which is exactly how I expect CB to play it. Of course if we lose he'll be castigated for not being more offensive and given our defence I don't think any of us would be confident playing this way. Both teams have something to prove so should be competitive at the very least

  23. (as transcribed onto Aberdeen Mad) CHRIS CRIGHTON Aberdeen disrespected the league cup, and by extention their supporters. How dare they. Despite it being only the two realistic chances for trophy success, despite the numbers already driven away by year after year of cup humiliation. The Dons fielded a side in which no player started in the same position he had played on Saturday. Not conspicuously weaker on paper, but, with no more than any three of the back five ever having worked together in these roles, it invited chaos and disaster. The players conducted themselves poorly, as if their injury-time equaliser had finished the job and they would inevitably win just because of who they were, because they get their names on the back of their jerseys. Instead of going for the throats of tiring part-timers, Aberdeen let nature take its course, in fact being dominated in an extra-time period in which they held the aces. Such passivity was inexplicable given the obvious fact East Fife, with greater spirit and courage than the feckless Dons, were clear favourites for the penalties. But these are mere symptoms of the sickness at Pittodrie. Individuals come and go, the club locked in a cycle of throwing money at them to join and more to leave but when they find themselves representing a club whose only remaining target is to avoid complete humiliation it is easier to assimilate than to effect change. The law of reversed effect states the greater the conscious effort, the less the subconscious response. So a club which exits solely to avoid walking into the furniture routinely trips over every footstool. It takes a man of rare strength to free himself from the noose in which AFC is slowly strangling itself. The brand of AFC has suffered irreversible damage. The club itself won't die, because while its current fleeting stewards may possess its share capitol and squad numbers, its spirit lives within us. The charlatans can obsess over mid-table obscurity and absurd imperialistic plans for gaudy, inaccessable stadium no one wants, or will visit, until their hearts are content, for their time will pass and AFC will have better days when they are gone. Enough people still retain the will and the fire for it to be so.
