  1. McInnes did some Q&A event with Hearts fans tonight. Apparently (according to my Hearts supporting mate who was there), McInnes admitted he's not in full control of transfers. He also said he wanted to sign Josh Mulligan, but that Jamestown Analytics rated him badly..
  2. One thing I notice from this (apart from maybe Aouchiche, presuming that's him next to Knoester) is all our new signings are quite tall. Yengi, Kjartasson, Gyamfi*, even Milanovic - and I guess the goalkeeper, as would expect - are all fairly tall lads. *May be a trick of the camera on account he's stood next to Shinnie. Handy thing to have for set pieces. Also, think a lot of Hibs 'success' last season was down to how tall and athletic a lot of their players were, and we've maybe looked at that.
  3. I think you need to lighten up. Posting on a football forum that someone is 'one of the most technically gifted player we have signed since the early 90s' is a big statement to make, and is going to have people replying suggesting you're a bit OTT this early on, which I actually think I did very lightly.
  4. Yes, I'm aware of the difference between an opinion and a fact. I would debate more, but after your comment below I won't bother.
  5. Had a look to see how often Aouchiche and Tengi played together at Portsmouth. Not very often appears to be the answer, mainly due to Yengi's injuries. Notable though that Aouchiche played both just off the striker, and also on the right hand side. The Sunderland fan @SAFC fan said he often played off the left for them. So his versatility is good and from the highlights video @tlg1903 posted he looks comfortable with both feet. One game Yengi and Aouchiche did play together was the 2-1 defeat to Preston, where Yengi played as the main striker and Aouchiche on the right. Aouchiche pretty lively in the first half. His birthday is in 12 days, so although we've signed a 22 year old, he'll be 23 by the time he makes his debut, which changes EVERYTHING.
  6. Come on min. You've not even seen the guy play and have just announced he's one of the most technically gifted player we have signed since the early 90s. I do hope you're right though.
  7. How many decades are we talking here?
  8. https://www.afc.co.uk/2025/07/06/adil-is-a-don/ There's the new number 10. Signed on loan from Sunderland with an option to buy.
  9. Two reasons. Firstly, that's how we're liking up next season if Jimmy Thelin's what's apps are anything to go by. I appear to have been added to both a Dons management group and a classified Donald Trump one. From what I gather, 4-3-3 and a nuclear strike on Moscow are both happening in August. Secondly, easiest way of fitting in all our midfielders in the graphic.
  10. Here's where we currently are. I haven't included Vinnie as he'll be moving on, and if we're targeting Soumano then we're definitely after another left winger. Haven't included Ambrose either, but who knows what our plans are for him. An attacking midfielder would be great. Will be interesting to see which youth players make the European squad and which ones go out on loan. Striker - I can't see us buying another "project". So I think it'll either be Nesbit*, a loan signing, or we'll spend the money on someone who has been banging them in elsewhere. All three of those options are not July signings - usually you have to wait until late August. If by the end of August we have Nesbit, Soumano and Pedri in the door, then it's time to begin thinking of a good catchphrase for our next cup winning t-shirt. *As much as I'd love Nesbit back as I thought he was an intelligent footballer, I don't see it unless Millwall drastically drop the price or Cormack just pays the money to match what Hearts & Hibs are paying Shankland & Boyle respectively.
  11. From Jimmy Thelin's quotes on the online article:- "We have also protected ourselves if he does well, so this is a good arrangement for all involved.”
  12. Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen have made an offer of €500,000 to AC Ajaccio for their 19-year-old striker, Moussa Soumano, who is under contract until 2026. From L'Equipe. He was previously linked with Celtic. https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Mercato-aberdeen-propose-500-000-euros-a-ajaccio-pour-moussa-soumano/1575257 Also some chat that we may be interested in Thierry Gale, who is a forward/left winger/No.10. Bolton & Dundee United also credited with an interest.
  13. That's enough of that, thanks.
  14. Why wouldn't I want Shankland at Aberdeen? I think his attitude stinks and he's spent most of his career pissing away his talent. With respect to Hearts, a player of that talent should be playing on a bigger stage than them and should be a first pick for Scotland (it's not like he's being kept out of the team by far superior players). That Hearts made him captain might explain the shambles of a season they had last year. He's no leader. He's the first to lose his head in games and his bi-annual meltdowns at Pittodrie show it. And, from what I hear, Hearts will be paying a fortune to get him to stay. We'd need to at least match that to get him here, which would make him the highest paid player at Pittodrie by some distance.
  15. I wouldn't want him anywhere near Aberdeen. I'd rather take Bruce Anderson as per the shouts above. However, don't be wholly surprised if Shankland is linked with Aberdeen... Edit: I don't think I said it strongly enough that I wouldn't want him at Aberdeen so just to reiterate: Not now, not ever.
  16. I don't watch English football so excuse my ignorance, and perhaps this guy is the next English superstar, but how the hell does a striker score just six goals in the Championship and then command a £5m transfer fee? I'm sure he has other facets to his game other than just scoring goals, but that seems about £2.5m overpriced even by the overinflated English transfer standards. What it does do, is make you think Millwall likely will expect a sizeable transfer fee for Nisbet after 14 goals and a Scotland call-up last season. Maybe not quite £5m (he's six years older) but be very surprised if he's leaving Millwall for any less than £1m unless it has significant add ons. And for a club of Aberdeen's budget that would be an enormous risk on a guy whose goal scoring record wasn't that good (better than six though) and who has little sell-on value.
  17. @Kowalski is this you officially calling an end to the celebrations
  18. The big man is back.
  19. Am I being whooshed here? That is their goalkeepers modelling the goalkeepers strip
  20. Someone posted this on P&B. The training top is actually a decent alternative to those who don't like the strip.
  21. Too high-end for me that.
  22. I've been on an emotional journey with this shirt, and have decided I like it enough now to pay £15 for a fake-almost-real version.
  23. At least it's not like their 25/26 strip which is diabolical.
