  1. Not sure, just said on commentary that loads of police rushed down and there were cops filming whatever it was. Then said quite a few fans were taken out in handcuffs.
  2. Celtic leading United 2-1 with 20 to go, not a bad game but sounds as though there's some crowd trouble in the United end.
  3. all seems fair enough to me.
  4. Just seen the huns score, what a mauling for 'Well. McCall was saying before the game he was hopeful of a point... no wonder they were hammered with a manager's attitude like that. Craig Gordon has just had another howler for Sunderland. Piss poor goalkeeping.
  5. 2-1 United in the Manc derby, and what a winner from Rooney, Goal of the Season I'd say. http://www.101greatgoals.com/videodisplay/golazo!-wayne-rooney-manchester-city-8477708/ (have to paste that whole line into your browser to see it) Mark Hughes would have been proud of that finish, and it was that good Fergie could hardly even believe it.
  6. in 1992, Aberdeen sacked Alex Smith. The Daily Record have still to get over it...
  7. I think they're maybe fearful of losing potential supporters. Perhaps youngsters will be more swayed by the big (possibly) Premiership side
  8. Football grounds with running tracks round them can seem a bit lacking in atmosphere, do Hammers fans want this move?
  9. just as long as they weren't doing a conga at the same time...
  10. The guy in question is from Aberdeen, a regular at all Dons matches and goes to the games with a poster on here
  11. Aye, considering he used to start about 50% of our attacks! He used his keeper a lot but he was just such a good footballer he could walk out of defence with that ball at his feet or he could ping it 60 yards - see John Hewitt's first v Hearts in the 86 Cup Final. Dundee United suffered with the backpass rule but that's because they were always boring cunts.
  12. there's a good documentary on Fleetwood Mac coming on BBC4 in 2mins. It's a repeat but it's really good and I really love Stevie Nicks. Did you know that William Shatner once asked her to marry him? But she said "no" as she didn't want to be known as Stevie Shatner-Nicks. True story.
  13. Go to this link and request No11 from the side menu for a strangely abridged version of Willie Miller's 20 Aberdeen Greats over 20 Years. http://wn.com/Willie_Miller
  14. Ma Gwire for me too.
  15. ...and they won 1-0 through Miereles, good finish but Cech made a cunt of it. Going by the stats, it looked as though it had been pretty horrendous Heard a rumour that Cech is signing for Arsenal in the summer and it's down to the same fall out that saw Ray Wilkins sacked.
  16. Flicked it up then scissor kicked it in for the winner. I liked Eric, just felt we never knew how to use him properly. That guy knew how to play football, and one of the saddest moments of my AFC supporting life came on a rainy Wednesday night at Pittodrie v Motherwell in the league cup when a grown man stood up in the south stand in front of his wife and kids and shouted "Deloumeaux you're a fucking lazy black bastard". I challenged him about it and ended up getting booked by the police for starting a fight...
  17. totally agree on both counts CtS. Our central midfield with Young and Hartley is utterly horrendous, I can see what BigAl is saying here, Young was a bit of a victim of our set up, Jack should have been brought inside and Young stuck wide. He was having to do the running for Hartley too and Young doesn't have the legs for that anymore either, not to mention the quality. Stevie Smith will be a good player for us. Langfield's kicking again shocking and wasn't overly convinced with Vuja early on but he settled down. One thing though... I'm a wee bit concerned that Pawlett isn't being used from the start. We really could use his directness.
  18. People talking about the EPL on an internet forum isn't the problem GS. Folk in Scotland have always held an interest in the game down south (generally speaking of course), it's not a new thing.
  19. Don't kid yourself. The game up here is shite because... guess what? It's shite. And also you may find a seperate thread for the Scottish Cup
  20. Don't think they've ridden their luck so much recently Al as opposed to the start of the season but it did have to come and it's probably for the best it's to them rather than to City, Arse or London Huns.
  21. United's first defeat of the season. Don't understand why Fergie took off Berbatov instead of Rooney, he was ding once again away from home.
  22. 2-1 Wolves at ht v United. United took the lead through Nani then lost another two goals from set pieces.
  23. What you on about Kow? The EPL is shit etc etc and so on and so forth...
  24. Arse collapse by Arsene's boys... 4-4!!!!!!
