  1. Jutes one up on Hamilton in the cup. Stoke just equalised v Sunderland, terribly weak piece of goalkeeping from Craig Gordon.
  2. It is it, according to ESPN the other night.
  3. He's stating fact. I'm sure even Archie would research his facts, as these things are very easy to get called out on.
  4. Plays with his head up, always looks for the ball and can spot a pass, and more pertinently seems to know how to execute it once he's seen it. All of those things are desperately lacking in our side.
  5. I totally agree with you, however, I think his attitude is reflected in some of our very own fans. Look at how the semi final on Saturday was such a big deal to us all, when these things should be common place. So many of us talk as though we have no right to challenge for anything. You can take it back to even the 2000 Cup Final, Dons fans doing the conga round Hampden as we're getting pumped 4-0 from our most hated of rivals; it gave off the impression we were happy just to be there when for me personally, it was the second worst day I've ever had supporting Aberdeen but I hadn't realised that overnight we had become the club version of the Tartan Army. Maybe we wouldn't be seen as, or treated as a tinpot club if we didn't act like one, and that goes all the way through the club now.
  6. In/out: out Pre match: football training Match: sofa Post match: sofa Prediction: 2-0 Dons
  7. Considine did clip Brown's legs making him go down, it was a penalty unfortunately. And I do agree he's a half decent central defender, but he's not a half decent left back and had he remained on the park I would guess Celtic would still have scored, and keeping in mind how and where they scored two of their goals from on Saturday, I wouldn't be that confident of not conceding from a corner, either.
  8. aye, if only he could go into opposition players with such thunderous challenges. Once again he was left on his arse by 5'9 Hooper more than once. Do some weights you fucking clown.
  9. That's what you get for using facebook.
  10. Steven Smith on the bench. Celtic's centre half pairing is Wilson and Mulgrew.
  11. this is a good signing. I'm disappointed we didn't get Hughes. Heard that Norwich wanted us to take on Hughes' full wage for the loan and we just wouldn't or couldn't do it. Hughes wanted to come to us.
  12. SSN now reporting the bid for Carroll has been rejected.
  13. suggestions now that the actual amount of the Carroll deal is actually in excess of £35m with add ons.
  14. Crikey.
  15. Carroll doesn't like Phil Collins so that's a non-starter.
  16. according to SSN, it is 11pm in Scotland and England in line with Holland and Germany.
  17. also sounds as though Torres could be at the London huns by tonight, £50m... :-\
  18. breaking news: scousers agreed £35m fee with geordies for andy carroll.
  19. you are right re Anderson at Dens. that was one of his first games back

    Andy Murray

the difference in Djokovic and Murray is that Djokovic is able to produce top level tennis consistently for the whole match, something that Murray seems incapable of at the moment; he's up and down with his game within one match never mind just within a tournament.
  21. Indeed. Fuck off Tom, eh? Cheers.
  22. No one has remotely suggested otherwise, so perhaps you're the one who should "chill out". Also, if you hold the man in such high regard, maybe you should dignify him with his real name instead of this "Pa Broon" pish. His name is Craig, in case you didn't know. And one last thing, please do not have a go at Dons fans for expecting better than a 4-1 pumping at the National Stadium (or anywhere else for that matter). Regardless of where we were a month ago, getting pumped 4-1 should never be acceptable, and anyone who thinks it is is far more of a problem than anyone who left the game early yesterday.
  23. One of our group is only 19, and after several pints last night got a bit emotional about the whole thing and was suggesting similar to your lad Al... I did tell him that i absolutely wished with all my heart that it was his fault, but instead I was absolutely sure it was the result of players with no back bone and the collective heart the size of a pea.
  24. the Pienaar one kind of slipped under the radar for me. I can see why he's the type of midfielder Redknapp wanted - tenacious, not bad with the ball at his feet but works for the team in a Jason Park type of way, however there is something about the player himself that makes me think he's making a mistake leaving Everton as he was a perfect fit for them and I think he may not be quite as effective for Spurs. In saying that, I've also had a feeling Everton are a bit stale and need an overhaul, maybe this is the start of it ahead of the summer window?
