  1. It's a shame and all that, but I can't help feel all this work is going to be rather fruitless for Hargreaves:
  2. One of the most ill-advised managerial moments ever. This wasn't far behind though:
  3. Villa are chronic. Good goal by Babbel though. Turned it over to Napoli-Palermo now.
  4. The lengths people go to to avoid seeing Justin Bieber: http://www.ndtv.com/article/world/dangerous-stunt-goes-wrong-on-live-tv-70856
  5. Can't see it, they supposedly hate each other. I really wouldn't want Windass in at any capacity to be honest.
  6. Do you think the board are aware of how the support would react to certain appointments or is it a case that they don't give a fuck what we think and will steam ahead with their own ideas regardless? Surely they'd appreciate that an appointment of, say, Gus MacPherson would be far from a popular choice, but would it mean they would steer clear of him even if they thought he was the right man?
  7. And yet you've repeatedly said on here that Foster isn't a full back
  8. The money for the severance package has been paid personally by the Board of Directors, as will any compensation required to get the new guy in. Phil Brown has officially applied for the job. http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/2040176
  9. or he's been told what the budgets are for the coming transfer window(s).
  10. why? Andy Watson is really camp. True story.
  11. they don't have Jocky Scott either and i phoned them and they said they'd email me the price in 3 days
  12. Horrendous.
  13. Victor Chandler: Good to see Paddy Power have a sense of humour (check the last candidate) Willie Hills: Hills don't have a price (unless i've missed it) for Jocky Scott, may be worth a phonecall to see what we can get on that... Strange how Hills have Newell at 3/1....
  14. Was there too, we were basically standing two yards from the touchline. John Hughes kicked the fuck out of Scott Booth all day and Hughes seemed to find it incredibly funny. To think he and the press present him as some sort of total football guru these days grinds my gears when I think back to that. It should be noted Scotty picked himself up every time and ready to go at the useless article again and was sublime in an utterly shite team in utterly shite conditions and even scored (I think). He was a class act was Scott Booth.
  15. All good points there OD but I think because of the contract situation that it would be nigh on impossible for Collins to clean house and start afresh, unfortunately. I never ever thought I'd see the day I said this but because the rest are so poor I wouldn't be overly disappointed if Brown was appointed. I feel dirty after saying that right enough...
  16. Some interesting bits in it about Meldrum being the one taking the training on Sundays; Billy Stark and Craig Levein unable to hold a civil conversation and also has a fair dig at McGhee for sacking Leighton but does mention that Jim refused to call McGhee "gaffer" which irked McGhee considerably. Also, Billy Dodds' bit in the Herald, he said he was in tears the day Willie got the sack because he hadn't been able "to hit a barn door" that season and had huge respect for Miller but his form changed once Willie left He believes our players could now start performing that there's a change of manager. He also noted that night will follow day and that he believed the world was kinda round.
  17. http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sunday-life/don-raid-for-oneill-15022198.html The Belfast Telegraph touting Michael O'Neill as a strong candidate for the Dons job but not actually backing that claim up with anything.
  18. There's a really good, lengthy article in today's herald by Bryan Cooney. Don't necessarily agree with it all but it's well worth a read. Doesn't appear to be on their website yet though.
  19. This may sound daft but this could actually be a bad thing for the huns. Despite what the retards who follow them think, David Murray was brilliant for them, him not being involved with them may end up hurting them more.
  20. The police weren't going to let us in that day as we had "Central Belt accents and no one from outwith Aberdeen supports that lot"...
  21. Arbroath away. No contest. About ten times colder than the Lokomotiv game.
  22. Never backed it but had Hannover and Freiburg both at 2/1. British bookies are spazzies when it comes to continental football and it is fantastic.
