  1. Agreed, shock for shock's sake really.
  2. He had some cracking saves in that game but he was caught horribly flat flooted for their first. It was an excellent goal, but when the ball is in the box a keeper should be on his toes continuously.
  3. I actually think Smalling has done ok when he's featured this season but Evans has regressed at a rate of knots.
  4. Jonny Evans is fucking gash.
  5. Well as you had offered up some candidates i commented on them, how that's flying off at a tangent I'll never know, but as you're out of here apparently I'm sure that won't matter.
  6. Sorry, didn't realise it was a competition. I've said many times before Jocky Scott is my preferred option with A N Other working with him, be it short term or otherwise.
  7. Apologies, i thought it was every year. either way, he's always going to get back in.
  8. ...as they are every year, and every year they get voted back in.
  9. There are some folk putting 2+2 together (no one here) and getting 5. There have been suggestions Hartley will be on our coaching staff very soon, put it that way.
  10. So why don't you do something about it then? I've already (half) volunteered my services, why don't you? You keep talking about it...
  11. I'll add in a wee bomb just for talks sake... seems awfy' friendly with Willie Miller, know what I'm saying?
  12. Think that'd have been harsh on Carvalho (in that incident, should have been off earlier), Ramos deserved his red. That was a despicable challenge.
  13. Marcelo has been shit for years at Madrid, i can't quite fathom how he's still there. The defence has improved hugely with the addition of Carvalho. But their midfield didn't help them tonight at all and that's horrendous when they play two holding midfielders in the first half then 3 in the second. Not sure if it's the same incident you guys are talking about but it was Ramos who hammered Messi.
  14. Arbeloa on for Marcelo. Arbeloa is pretty ding too but Marcelo should never play at left back. Wouldn't even play him at left midfield. I'd let him hand out the drinks at half time or something. Khedira has looked utterly lost too. Barcelona have been tremendous for all that. Are they though? This is the first real test in La Liga for them. Through in Europe but Milan aren't great and Ajax and Auxerre are only middling sides these days.
  15. Only one team in it. Commentator: "Xavi, the unsung hero..." Eh? Marcelo is fucking guff. Shite on both goals, not following runs and not even being aware of the runs either. Criminal and frankly amateurish stuff.
  16. And McGhee got to 3rd with an inferior squad at Motherwell... swings and roundabouts.
  17. which he also managed to get relegated.
  18. Butcher has a team at ICT which is moulded in his own image; limited ability, kicks everything that moves. There are a couple of good players up there, don't get me wrong, but I don't think it would be a good move for us. The patience of the fans would be extremely short with him, look at all the hun pish JC got and he never even played for them. Butcher did and he was very near the top of the hun pile while he played for them and had absolutely no love for our club at all.
  19. EH? Would Neil Cooper be worth a shout? Been at the club for years, well respected, good work with the youth etc.
  20. I would cry rivers if it was any of them.
  21. I've already said they've acted like fannies. Doesn't make McDonald any more right though, does it?
  22. Bollocks. If that horrendous wee ginger prick was our manager and we'd been lied to there isn't a chance you'd be this understanding. He lied and he got found out. Tough shit.
  23. I was at Old Trafford yesterday. Two things ruined my day: 1. They've stopped the drinking in the streets 2. Aberdeen.
  24. Good. He made a bad situation worse by putting himself first and lying. People will (eventually) forget and forgive these things if you're honest, they won't when you've lied. Same with us with McCurry and Rowbottham, we never trusted them again and they both should have retired or been sacked after those games which brought their infamy. Celtic have been fannies, no doubt, but McDonald has acted horrendously for someone whose position demands integrity.
  25. But then a new guy coming in can't really lose can he? Comes in this week, maybe generate more interest/optimism so more folk go to the match, the players probably get a lift, and no one really expects us to win all things considered.
