  1. Two four day weekends running... Easter weekend, then the following Friday is teh Royal Wedding and the Monday is May Day.
  2. Arsenal are flaky as fuck.
  3. Problems at the Bridge!! (although i have taken them at ht to win, better than even money which is good value) Lumped on Real today @ 6/5, just hope there's no arse collapse in the second half.
  4. Last night's episode was easily the best so far, definitely a slow burner.
  5. They can't afford not to boot him if attendances continue like they are just now, and can't afford not to because the prospect of Div 1 football looms. As would any other bidder for Pittodrie. Why do you think it'll go to Milne? It'll go to the highest bidder. No we're not. The board are viewing it as a "Game to game basis". This was said at the Trust meeting on Saturday by one of our board members.

    Andy Murray

    GROW UP EFF EFF ESS!
  7. I see your point Baggy, but I tend to think that just because we're shite now it doesn't make Irvine for example any better a player than he actually was. He'd walk into this team, but who wouldn't? John Inglis would get a game too, as would Ian and Craig Robertson... they were still shite for the time they played and would still be shite now, just slightly better than the other shite around them.
  8. Aye, that sounds about right. I saw a post from fatshaft on Mad recently saying that the internet has been the best thing for the careers of Irvine and Bett... their careers have been elevated to new heights it seems on the forums. I kind of understand his point especially in Irvine's case. Bett was a cracking player on his game but when he couldn't be arsed... fucking hell it was frustrating and painful viewing.
  9. It wasn't the Red Final, it was the Northern Light that had the Bobby's Blouse comic strip. Also had a comic strip with Irvine as a horse.
  10. http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=UxY1AAAAIBAJ&sjid=8KULAAAAIBAJ&pg=4324,1595581&dq=gillhaus+effect+warms+dons&hl=en Thanks to Caddy Carhandle from Mad for the link, but I thought I'd cheer us all up on this Monday afternoon with a look back to this very day 21 years ago. If you click the link and then take a look at our starting XI and then a wee glance at the league table... what do you mean you've not cheered up??
  11. Utter, utter guff. In all the football you've watched, you've never seen anyone make a tackle standing up? You're full of shit man.
  12. Yeah, just heard that they are still regarded as self employed so they can "strike" if they like on their own terms etc.
  13. If you're going to strike you have to put it in writing 7 days before the strike action I believe (or certainly used to be the case) so I doubt this will happen.
  14. In the loosest sense of the word.
  15. Aye, but the huns i know don't know that so it get used fairly often
  16. yip, and the most telling kind... one that isn't organised.
  17. Would have been worth an absolute fortune in today's market I believe he's still the last player to score hat tricks against the huns for different teams. His hat trick for St Mirren was done wearing a pair of Adidas Samba instead of football boots as well supposedly. Legend. Hopefully Santa is bringing me this along with Dunc's and Patrick Barclay's biography of Fergie. Who says Dons fans live in the past*? * I wish i did live in the past these days
  18. I actually think they will, they would have thought more would turn out for today's "must win" game. Milne will be panicking.
  19. Mental isn't it? Did people not think McGhee was passionate about it before? And if not, why not? His passion for the job has never been in question, neither has his fight - anyone who ever saw him play knows he has both in abundance - it's just his ability to manage that's in question, and the answer is continually coming up in the negative area.
  20. Hamilton and a win in another. As I said, optimism...
  21. I'm feeling optimistic... 6
  22. Birmingham 1 London Huns 0 Said on the tv that the body language of the hun players was all wrong, wondering if this (and last week's result) have anything to do with the Wilkins sacking.
  23. Killie away next week... he shouldn't even last til next week, but it has been the graveyard for Dons managers in the past.
  24. It says no pay cuts in the headline, and then not massive pay cuts in the article which suggests there could still be cuts.
  25. You know what to do then Stewarty. Time to put your money where your mouth is, and if you don't want to use your money, then actively seek investment. It's no longer acceptable just being there now. We need something to galvanise the club and the support, show us we have something worth believing in here.
