  1. Hate to piss on your chips but the game after that we lost 2-0 to Stenhousemuir.
  2. 2-0 Real in the Madrid derby after 20 mins.
  3. Aye, and first Newcastle manager not to have money to spend as well!
  4. Yeah, sorry didn't mean that he should get it on a sole basis, unless it was just one or two games. I suppose though with the age Neil is now he prob doesn't want the job and is happy being in the background working with the youths.
  5. It was a joke that folk were touting Hughton for the sack a few weeks ago. He seems to suffer in that a lot of folk don't remember him as a player (very good full back with Spurs and Eire) i.e. played outwith the EPL era therefore he's not a "glamour" manager. Seems to be a very well respected coach and by the looks of things a good manager too. Good on him, seems to be the guy getting the best out of Joey Barton too which is a fair achievement I'd say.
  6. I thought "ok, maybe, just maybe the board give him this game and sound out Jocky Scott (for talk's sake) so he's prepared to come in and take us on Saturday", but then I thought "Nah, no chance they'd have thought of that" and also, why not just promote Neil Cooper to first team affairs? he's been at the club for donkeys years and every manager speaks highly of him, so why not? Even just on an interim basis?
  7. Aye, if folk think MM is arrogant and if folk thought JC was tanned then it's fuck all compared to that cuntstick. A man who rates himself way higher than he ever should and way higher than everyone else does. We'd be as well sticking with McGhee...
  8. Could you not face going up to 9?
  9. aye, thought Fairclough was more of a striker. Molby was great, that guy knew how to play football, the fatter he got the better he got cos his passing had to improve and it was pretty much perfect when he was slim!! He was part of a cracking Danish side too. Think he was maybe bought just after Souness left.
  10. Aye, TF, forgot about them. Heighway was a cracking player from what I've seen. Stewart - what I remember of Sammy Lee is that he was quite a hard working player, good player but not great. Some of the older lads may have more of an insight though. Also forgot Ronnie Whelan, and he was a cracking player. How good is this:
  11. A 9-0 defeat (who it's to is irrelevant), and losses to ICT, St Mirren, Killie (at home) and he keeps his job. Good stuff. Can someone pass me the crack pipe after Milney's finished with it?
  12. who else was in those midfields? Sammy Lee, Alan Kennedy? David Fairclough (or was he up front)? Craig Johnston, latterly
  13. So he's out if we don't win on Tuesday then. he's out then, isn't he? ICT not lost an away match all season... a stat I expect to be true on Wed morning too.
  14. He would have my respect if he did that but he knows that he probably is finished at Pittodrie, but I also think he knows his career could be well and truly fucked after this. Aye, that's the thing that got to me most about his comments yesterday. A 9-0 defeat isn't just the loss of 3 points and in particular for the fans who have invested so much more into this whole thing than him or his players. To be honest mizer, I can't remember exactly when this was said but I remember thinking at the time "fair play, you've made a cunt of it but you've accepted it and admitted it".
  15. He's a year older than me MBT and I remember and know fine well what a player Dalglish was. He should think of it this way, take Gerrard out of Liverpool's history and what are you left with? Take Dalglish out of it and what are you left with? Of course, Dalglish had better players around him but he was the best player in a great team - something Gerrard has never been. It would be interesting to see how Gerrard would have fitted into that side... would he even have got a game ahead of Souness?
  16. He's a cracking player, don't get me wrong but Liverpool have had some wonderful players of which he is one but he is nowhere near the best. I can only assume Carragher has never heard of Kenny Dalglish.
  17. If only it was. I just don't get it. At no point in his tenure has there been a run of games where he can now say "I have to get back to that period" because bar one or two good results there's been just fuck all for him to cling to. Other than his Wiki page, obviously. with the board not taking action, we're in real danger of this becoming a battle (again) between us and the manager/board and all it would ever be is a war of attrition.
  18. Tyrant will be enjoying it, looks as though the place is rocking.
  19. 2-0, absolute peach from Torres.
  20. Supposedly Aberdeen Journals reporters have been doing the rounds of the pubs today to gauge opinion... according to them MM will be in charge for Tuesday.
  21. Thought that'd please you! In the CL places now! Liverpool 1-0 up on the Londonhuns.
  22. I'm with you there Al and that's why I've always mentioned Jocky Scott. A young manager with no SPL experience walking into that mess? We'd be asking for trouble in my opinion.
  23. He saved that for later when he wasn't assaulting someone. I can only presume Zhirkov must not like Phil Collins... Apparently Carragher has said Stevie G is Liverpool's greatest ever player. He wasn't even kidding apparently. Honestly. Think he was suspended.
  24. 2mins into Liverpool-London Huns, Gerrard with another elbow to someone's head, free kick awarded, not even booked, not even mentioned by the commentators. Unbelievable.
  25. Arsenal lost 1-0 at home to the Barcodes
