  1. Not according to your post on the hat. No gambler quits because he's very good, they only quit because they were shit.
  2. injured again, ankle this time and we'll be lucky to see him back by Christmas supposedly.
  3. It's a width problem when the balls are coming from wide areas and the guys we have out there aren't doing enough to stop the source.
  4. Probably why you're a failed gambler right there. How can it be the same chance for one player changing and for the collective performance of the 10-13 others in the team?
  5. It's just the never ending fishing trip from Stoney. can't take anything the guy says seriously at all.
  6. In/Oot: Oot Pre-Match: gym During Game: flat Post-Match: oot Prediction: Pain
  7. Desperate stuff. Another sign he's burying his head in the sand.
  8. Pittodrie Star came second.
  9. Just a weighting system I'm using this season. At the start of the season I set the level which 1 point equals, and my betting throughout the season is based on this. So, I'm fairly confident of Real winning so I'm betting 4 points on it, however, if I were to take any of the other bets I mentioned, they'd maybe be 0.5, 1 or 2 points max. Trying it out to be more disciplined and it's certainly helping, I'm 18 points in profit for the season so far, and August-October is normally a time I don't do well. It's also encouraged me to bet on single matches more, although I do still have the occasional punt on a double or treble.
  10. We beat Partick.
  11. I've gone 4 points on Real Madrid to beat AC Milan @ 11/8. Reckon there could be a bit of value tonight in the Basle-Roma game, 17/10 for the home side who did well in Rome two weeks ago. Also Braga away to a very poor Partizan Belgrade side @2/1 with PP. Outside bets though, so if I put anything on it won't be much.
  12. 2.55 @ Nottingham, Pittodrie Star (jockey's wearing red and white silks too) has come in from 12/1 to 6/1. This isn't a tip, I just put money on it for the obvious reasons
  13. Cheers Mizer. I really can't see Maguire leaving. I think he'd be daft to. I'd be amazed if Celtic were interested, he'll not go to the huns and going down south is too early for him in my opinion. Another couple of years at Pittodrie will do him good if he continues playing with the same attitude as he has shown this season.
  14. What do we think will happen in the January Transfer Window? The EE (I think) has said there will be no one coming in, but I don't believe it. According to a couple of guys on Mad, we will be taking in Rhema Obed, ex Arsenal youth who can play at right back or centre defence. Think it's screamingly obvious a right back is required and very possibly a left back too as Vuja looks more comfortable in the middle. Where else should we look to strengthen? Perhaps more pertinently though, who should we keep and who should we offload? There are a number of players out of contract in the summer, should we get rid in January?
  15. Andy Gray says about Bale: I've just never seen anyone beat anyone like that in the Champions League. Are you fucking shitting me you Hun Bastard? have you never watched Ryan Giggs? Michael Laudrup? Alessandro Del Piero? Lionel Messi?
  16. The type of player United should have gone for. Still can't believe United didn't ask for him as part exchange in the Ronaldo deal. EDIT: Or Sneijder
  17. Doing well in Europe but was easily marked out the game on Saturday, show him inside and that's the end of the threat. Good player though, amazing to think he'd been at Spurs for a year or so before he was actually in a winning side (in the league at least)
  18. Hardly news, but on the BBC Gossip section anyway:
  19. It's sad to say but I think it's going to be nigh on impossible for him to turn it around. The hellish performances and even worse results have gone on for too long and it's just so hard to reverse that when there hasn't really been a period of matches we can point to and say "that's what we have to get back to". One or two good performances here and there, but nothing that was ever a solid base for us to work from. I really hope I'm wrong but I just think it's too much of a tall order now for him to get it right, it's getting desperate and there's only one direction you go in when that's the case.
  20. Folly in for Clark Robertson is the only change from midweek.
  21. We can get goals against Celtic I think, don't think we should fearful of them.
