  1. No it's not. And it's quite clearly not if you look at his Aberdeen career to date. His positioning is absolutely awful. Take a look at the goal he conceded last season at motherwell for just one example, lost it at his front post and was so badly out of position he'd have been as well sitting on his arse and just telling the boy to roll it in. Look at the goals he conceded in the Celtic 4-4 game, again, horrendous positioning. How can he ever be confident in himself if he doesn't know where he is in relation to his posts? You make the point about him not having confidence in his defence. That's most certainly a two way street. You ever think the defence are jittery because they don't know when he's going to come off his line or not? There were 3 or 4 crosses last week that should have been his as they were on the six yard line but he stayed rooted to his line, almost costing us dearly. And then the other night he charges out 16 yards for a ball he was never making. How can you have a go at the defenders in these situations when the keeper is acting so erratically and is not consistent in his decision making let alone handling? I agree that two years ago he had a very good season, but the two (?) before that he was piss poor, he was piss poor last season and in two matches so far he's been pretty ding for two goals. I don't know if Howard's any better, but even if he's not, it doesn't change the fact that Langfield is still costing us goals after all these years. I don't have much faith in a keeper who loses his place to Derek Soutar.
  2. All that would be fine if it was only crossed balls he was fucking up with, but it's not.
  3. A whirlwind of sonic crap.
  4. Just seen the first Raith goal from last night. What the fuck was Langfield playing at? Coming for a ball 16 yards out when one of his centre halves is already there and there is no immediate danger is hideous decision making and was even worse in practice. He's an experienced goalkeeper now, these things just shouldn't be happening. He still can't get the basics right. Abysmal.
  5. I loved the Office too, but when I watched that thing on Channel 4 it just came across to me as him bullying one of his mates because he's daft and making money out of it (i know his mate went along with it etc). If i wanted to watch someone get that much of a ripping I'd just watch repeats of Gervais meets Garry Shandling...
  6. For those Weegie Fakers not going to the match on Sunday, get yourselves along to PJ Champs on Byres Road. There will be more than a few Dons fans in there for it and we're being welcomed by the management as they are sponsoring the Dons supporters team in Glasgow. We may have the room at the back to ourselves and there's a possibility some food will be laid on. We're hoping this will be a regular thing so get yourselves along and enjoy watching the Dons beating the scab faced bastards with fellow Dandies.
  7. Story I heard was that Paton and McGhee don't get on anyway but this was heightened when Paton (rightly, in my opinion) refused to go out on loan. Makes me angry, Paton is a good player with more to come and rarely hid last season which is something that can not be said of his peers. Same thing happened with the previous two regimes, seems rather immature that you put your own feelings ahead of professional duties.
  8. 3-2 dandies, vernon with the woodward and the winner. Hartley prob out for sunday. Huns are gay and they can all fuck off. that's you up to date chief.
  9. I know, if only Fergie was there. It'd have been 8-1. I know it's a shame he wasn't there, but his responsibility isn't to Scunthorpe, it's to Man Utd and he was watching Valencia tonight. Considering his mistake in the huns game, he has to get this one right.
  10. According to Radio Scotland, punches thrown in the Hibs dressing room after the game tonight. Hughes must be out of there, no?
  11. horrendous mistake by Langfield according to the radio. I wish there was a smilie to depict me rolling my eyes in an exaggerated manner.

  13. How many did Benny Yorston get?
  14. Could well be the score.
  15. Is that basically a programme about some guy who Ricky Gervais takes the piss out of while laughing at a stupidly high pitch? If it's anything like that cartoon thing that was on channel 4 it will be horrendous.
  16. I was talking about Harcus, TF, not you.
  17. You know something we don't? I agree about United's defence. Vidic was excellent as per usual, Evra looked to be back on form after an awful showing at Everton but I don't think they can win it if Evans and O'Shea are making up the back four. Both are too jittery, which is a shame because Evans looked a real prospect two years ago. May well still turn out to be excellent but he's not convinced this season or last to be honest. John O'Shea is just not good enough to play for United week in week out.
  18. i've gone for Folly for his very effective work in the midfield.

  21. and yet he obviously did. And if you look at this thread I've already said as much.
  22. All those points may well be true. Not one of them is a reason why we should have kept JC, however. Simple as that really.
  23. ACTUAL LOL!! Best book review ever.
  24. Your point about the cash spent replacing JC... should we have kept him? as that what your post certainly implies.
  25. Not sure why this comes up again, but anyway... JC wanted to go, he said so after the 4-2 Celtic game. He was shoved before he walked out on us mid-season and I can understand that. And to be honest, fuck him. We're Aberdeen FC and he thought he was better than us. He's not, and never ever will be. Sir Alex Ferguson has never once given off the impression that he's better than our club, but JC did. And some folk still stick up for him. Fucking tragic state of affairs.
