  1. Just watched the highlights. Comic defending for the first - bordering on schoolboy stuff. The second - there may have been a pull on Howard's arm/shoulder but it was slight if there was one and that still shouldn't have happened. Also, if there was a touch on him, he should be going down, other keepers do it and get the free kick. They don't punch it into the net. The third - it wasn't a penalty and the ref should have realised that from the way the ball moved. Poor decision, Howard unlucky not to save it. Vernon scored a cracker, a confident finish and was good to see one of our strikers knew where the goal was while their back was to goal. Just ashame Hartley's excellent free kick didn't go in (he thought the keeper wasn't getting there by his reaction), could maybe have salvaged something from it.
  2. He basically retracted them after the game.
  3. If only... Vujadinovic prefers playing centre half, btw. First thing; where is progress in a 3-1 pumping after two wins and a narrow defeat? Second thing; "if we took our chances it could have been differant (sic)" that's the case in every game bar none. That attitude doesn't save managers from the sack. Third thing;"i honestly think if velicka had played we would have got something out of the game." You have absolutely no basis for that whatsoever. Someone who hasn't played for two years all of a sudden is guaranteed to get us two goals in whatever game we want him to? If only it worked like that. When you wake up, you may realise it doesn't work like that...
  4. Nice one, it is very different eh?
  5. word is that this game may be live on BET365.
  6. Interesting, especially considering how MM was basically saying Vernon was the automatic pick at the start of the season.
  7. has he not looked good so far? how has Magennis done for us?
  8. having been on holiday for three of our four matches so far this season, I've not really kept up with how individual players have been doing. How has Howard been in goals? has there been any more word if Langfield is on the bench due to form or a falling out with the management? Is it likely he'll stay there for the forseeable future in your opinions?
  9. Certainly making the right noises and seems he's possibly not ruling out a longer stay. Hopefully this all shines through in his performances.
  10. He's originally from Aberdeen but moved to Perth
  11. I enjoyed it (I think most Dons fans would and I think those who grew up where there weren't many other Dons fans would be able to relate to a lot of it), but I got a bit tired of his whinging at the end of the book. It's tough though, he grew up in an exceptional time for the Dons and it's maybe easy to see why he was spoiled and why that attitude came to the fore.
  12. I read "On Fire With Fergir: Me, My Dad and The Dons" on holiday. Anyone else read it? would like to see what others thought of it...
  13. Not like anything they've ever done, there is a kind of 70's feel to some of it. The vocals are a bit more prominent than other Charlies albums and sometimes I felt Burgess's voice was struggling but he just about pulls it off. Some good shuddering bass in some of it. There are a couple of songs which change direction a few times in themselves and it took a couple of listens to get comfortable with them and I really enjoy them now. It's definitely a grower and will take a few listens to really appreciate it. The song "oh!" is possibly the strangest album track they've done, but even that is growing on me now.
  14. Really different direction again for them, and on first listen I was a bit miffed but after another couple of listens it's certainly growing on me. "Your Pure Soul" is one of the most beautiful songs they've ever done.

    Andy Murray

Exact same mentality as Colin Montgomerie. He has to change it otherwise his career is going to be full of "almosts", and I think that'd hurt an awful lot more in tennis where the number of players likely to win majors/grand slams is so much less than golf.

    Officially pumped.

Aye, getting a royal pumping. Amazing how his injuries come on when he's up against it.
  18. I'm sure Joe Ledley was delighted about that!! Can't ever imagine him thinking he'd end up playing left back when he signed. If only Neil Lennon had bothered his arse to look at Mulgrew before he signed him...
  19. Absolute rock all. No doubt he has the ability, but it doesn't come out often enough and he's had the chance to sign for us in the past (more than once too) and obviously thinks he's too good for us. He'll be back at Falkirk by the time the window closes.
  20. Spurs 2-0 down to Young Boys of Berne.
  21. Real Madrid have signed Mesut Ozil from Werder Bremen. Another good signing for them.
  22. So winning 4-0 isn't a good thing?
  23. I wouldn't say it's a nothing stat, nothing to do with the self appointedness of the "glitw", he's Ryan Giggs and he scored a fantastic goal tonight to continue his record of playing and scoring in every Premiership season. That's cos he's one of the best players in the world.
  24. We beat them 3-0 away last season. One more goal at home.. ok, i wasn't expectng it, but do we really have to have the doom shit just because some are on the "up" shit? I'm not suggesting there's a trend beginning, but if you're not either, why take a pessimistic tone? you're surely taking a pessimistic trend, no? We all know you don't like McGhee, maybe it'd just be easier if you left it at that.
