  1. Bringing more money into AFC isn't important? Given our financial predicament we're a baw hair away from Stewarty Milne going round the South Stand trying to sell a team card (£1 a shot, winner £20, £20 to the club) , these things shouldn't be dismissed Tom, even if you are a tee-totaller.
  2. They'd still have problems of getting licences for anything outwith the stadium wouldn't they? Can't see the authorities being too enamoured with the club actively encouraging folk to drink for hours before a match...you know how they see these things.
  3. No, because that isn't AFC who decide that.
  4. The mark up would have to be hefty.
  5. would it really be worth it for the club to do this though? Cost of building and furnishing it, cost of staffing, cost of rates/heating/lighting, cost of goods to sell... and it'll only be open once every two weeks on average, and shut during the whole of the summer.
  6. Any of you Weegie Fakers walking up St Vincent Street this morning at 9am with the new Dons top on and "Diamond 5" on the back? if so, you should have got a smaller size of top.
  7. which also coincided with Pawlett being out and we struggled because no one was carrying the ball forward for us. I think we did miss Miller to an extent, but I don't think it's to the extent some think (including McGhee). Pawlett was far and away our most dynamic player until his injury, losing him had a huge effect on how we played.
  8. 5. It should be 9, but i think we'll draw our first two before getting a result against Killie.

  10. It pleases me to read this, for too long our team haven't stuck up for each other.

    Why?

Is the AFC Chat thread locked?
  13. And how many of them will make it? I was talking to a guy the other night who has a son playing for Aberdeen Pro Youth down here in Glasgow, he's under 13s. He is coached by Peter Weir and they train with the 14s and 15s. Know how many players they reckon will make it out of 60 lads? six. That's how tough it is. Good luck to the lads you taught, but the fact they're there now doesn't mean they'll be of desired quality come the appropriate time. If you've watched any Scottish Football in the last ten years how have you not noticed that the youngsters aren't as good any more, and these are the pick of the crop we're seeing? We've not seen anyone as good as Scott Booth or Eoin Jess never mind a Miller or Buchan.
  14. Never think the reason we get foreigners is because the talent is no longer here?
  15. Jesus fuck. do you ever stop? Where is the next Willie Miller coming from? Scotland? Are you for real? (sic) The talent in Scotland has dried up, have you not noticed? Or are Ricky Foster, Mackie, C Clark, Scott Muirhead and Scott Morrison just hiding their ability really, really well?
  16. Ian Robertson, David Winnie...
  17. Abortion of a footballer. He'll get a brace, at least.
  18. I'd hate to think we ever would have... imagine no Theo Snelders or Hans Gillhaus in the Dons past? Not good.
  19. Do you really think Aberdeen would want to accept it?
  20. Oof!! Did you ever see Bryan Prunty?
  21. that'd be after the watershed I take it?
  22. So everyone who is sober will have the same opinion as you?
  23. He was annonymous last season for us, but the previous season he was actually a good player for us, made a lot of intelligent runs forward, contributed with goals and his general play was good after a slow start and I really thought he could have been a big player for us last season. Fuck knows what got into him though.
