why not give it to Megginson? Could be the kick up the arse the other more experienced players need and give the lad a bit of confidence, he has impressed in pre season I believe.

Apparently Ryan Jack at right back last night was excellent. Best player on the pitch according to some. Considine was also looking good at left back apparently, although i've never been keen on him there I have to say.

I believe that's the first time he's played CB for us, he's certainly been mainly at right back.

Unless we have Pawlett playing I can see us creating very little. The fact he seems rather fragile physically is a worry. At least if we're creating chances we can see just how good/woeful our strikers are, if we're not creating anything we could have Duncan Shearer and Frank Mcdougall in their pomp up front and we'd still never score.

McArdle can play centre half though and even Foster has played there to some degree of success so I wouldn't let that stop you from driving Ifil to another club. Agree that there's no way Paton should be loaned out again, he gave us some of the very few highlights last season which is not bad considering he was forced to play wide a lot of the time. Would have thought it would have been Mackie or Maguire to go on loan.

Walcott's not a great player. He's fast, but he's not an intelligent player. Mulgrew was wandering around looking lost and incredibly slow (even when he wasn't up against Walcott). Agree about Pawlett, although I'd rather he ran at him with the ball at his feet, I reckon Mulgrew would end up with twisted blood and sitting on his arse for most of the game.

I think he does actually, he also isn't as old as I used to think he was. Remember him playing against us for Dundee, must have been 93/94, in the league cup at Dens Park and it went to extra time after we got a late equalizer, and he scored at our end in extra time and he gave it big licks in front of us after it. I was amazed to find out later that he was actually a Dons fan.

This is the real trick though. The best set of opening fixtures in recent memory and we have to get off to a flier. Remember all of us moaning about always getting Hibs/Hertz/Huns/Sellick first game of the season, and then we got ICT at home... we were all delighted, and then they pumped us. If we don't hit the ground running this time it could turn out to be a long season. Again.

I would not have been using one of those wing suits the guy got towards the end... he used it really well and all that but it just looked rather flimsy!
