  1. We used to get current players down to our supporters club for our Christmas night/player of the year dinner dances. They were good with us, gave us Zero one year who was just confused by it all and Russell Anderson and Darren Mackie another year who looked frightened but were a good laugh once they'd had a few drinks (Anderson is a top bloke). Someone from the club was with them to drive them home. Not sure if you'd have to be a registered supporters club with the club for them to do that though.
  2. http://www.scotprem.com/content/default.asp?page=s2&newsid=9265 Huns game moved to the Sunday 26/9 12.15 for Sky, but will revert to the Saturday (12.15pm) if the huns are involved in the Champs League on the Tuesday. Hibs at home on 23/10 at 12pm for ESPN.
  3. yeah, but the line from AFC was that we couldn't compete with these clubs
  4. http://www.thestar.co.uk/millers/Striker-snubs--Millers-to.6410463.jp Interesting quote here: So that's two teams from that league who have said they couldn't compete with our wages (big wow, i know) so does this say we actually do have decent money to spend or is it more that the League 2 sides are feeling the pinch?
  5. Can't remember where the interview was that I read, but the suggestion was definitely that he was looking to sign 3 players as well as trialists (not necessarily these two guys just now, but he said that trialists will be coming in all summer).
  6. Yeah, but three more signings, plus successful trialists may be enough. I'm not saying that it is, but people are moaning about it before it's happened.
  7. he's not counting any trialists in that though. So it effectively could be a lot more. But don't let that stop you etc and so on and so forth...
  8. aye, years apart in some cases! I wasn't talking about just under JC, can remember the Michael Hart thing going on for fucking ages under Paterson. Aye, it's a hard life, eh mate?
  9. Got two youngsters on trial, one formerly of West Ham who is a midfielder and the other a goalkeeper formerly of Leeds United. The good thing so far for me is that the two signings and the trialists have been kept very hush-hush until they've actually arrived, all of them came out of the blue really which is a lot better than all the shite being dragged through the papers a la the Kyle situation this summer, Hughes last summer and the same every summer for the last XX years.
  10. Likewise I know this is all shite, but would people, hypothetically speaking be happy with the signing of Hartley?
  11. our dip in form also coincided with Pawlett being injured.
  12. Nice one bb, have a great time. Heard a lot of good things about that course TF, looks a stunning setting. let us know how you both get on
  13. Hope we can teach him the basics before the season starts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0GGnd1ufss
  14. Nice one. Welcome aboard Josh, best of luck to you!
  15. Yes, basically.
  16. That looks stunning mate. Six rounds there and you'll be back to your usual self. Always find that the more serene setting I'm in the better i play. Your game will def improve in that setting I reckon! You been out that way before?

  18. Probably his kicking, sometimes on cross balls but really, he was a world class goalkeeper and I don't think we should be nit picking with arguably our second greatest ever player...
  19. That's not the point. AFC entered into the agreement for them not to run the shop. I wasn't aware the difference in price was so great til I read redordead's post, and that coupled with the refusal to sell products outwith the club shop is a disgrace. Greaves and going further back, Olympus in Glasgow used to sell an awful lot of Aberdeen gear. Now you can't get the stuff anywhere down here. No matter who you are, that can not be seen as good marketing and this does effect the support, in particular young lads and lassies.
  20. Not as captain he doesn't. This is a huge deal for Monty, it's a big deal for any Ryder Cup captain but this is effectively his "Major". Another thing that worries me is the form of harrington and Garcia, two of the most experienced players. Both are outwith the automatic qualifying places and i don't think he'd be wanting to "waste" two of his picks on them when they should be in there automatically. Speaking of golf, anyone heading to the Open in two weeks?
  21. He should, but i'm worried that he's overthinking it, just hope he doesn't smother them with too much too muchness.
  22. Can't get free kicks on the bench.
  23. In fairness, we can't get much worse. McGhee said of Grassi that he cost us a number of goals and therefore points last season. If he can't scout a player who is capable of getting a better review than the one he gave Grassi then he probably shouldn't be in the job, and none of that is anything to do with money.
  24. A new selection of gnomes in the club shop. he was a very poor player, looked as though he was running in treacle most of the time.
  25. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/celtic/8779638.stm confirmed that he's signed for Celtic.
