we were just staying in a hostel near the Riviera, but you'd probably be looking at hotels? we were in Zagreb before Split and I liked it, nice city with a cool vibe. Big student population Are you getting the train from Zagreb to Split? It's a stunning journey, really beautiful countryside.

Was there last year manc, loved it. Beautiful place, scenery is outstanding, great people, great bars, great food, great wine and beer. How long you going for and where are you staying? We were there for our last part of our trip and by that point we were pretty knacked and really just wanted to chill so we didn't see as much of it as we wanted to. The "Riviera" is lovely, Diocletians Palace and the tower are a must, as are all the wee streets that run off there. You have to go to a pub called Gaga at night, everyone sits outside in the tiny streets that run off it. Brilliant place, i'll definitely be back there at some point.
  3. he was 10th, Grant missed for us. Bit embarrassing that Irvine waited for Graham Watson to hit one before he did, but got there in the end anyway.
  4. Yeah, wasn't a great game but brilliant outcome. I got one of those "Dutch Connection" T-shirts outside the ground before it, still got it! I met most of the squad in the pre-season after it, I said to Theo "great save in the cup final", he said "It was nothing really". Cool as fuck But yeah, rather depressing we haven't won it since. Should have won it in 93, if only Granty's shot in the first minute had gone in instead of hitting the post
  5. I hope for his sake he has a granny from San Marino...
  6. Nish, 9 goals in 32. 5 in his last 2, so that's 4 in 30. No thanks, we've got enough strikers like that already.
  7. £70k a week for Kieron Dyer, whoever agreed that deal really needs their head checked. Forever injured and not even that great when he's not. Has a head like Chewbacca.
  8. Zola sacked
  9. Grassi and Nelson to be offered short term deals. Wonder how short they'll be, that surely suggests it would only be up to January? He's still to decide on Duff and Marshall. I'd give Duff a contract but haven't seen anything from Marshall that makes me want him to stay.
  10. yeah, i wasn't going to mention that...
  11. Mikey Hart is being released by them, I'd take him back in a..eh... Hartbeat. I'll get my coat.
  12. "18 stone trick shot"
  13. Makes sense i suppose in this day and age, but still...
  14. I utterly despise modern day football grounds. Part of the reason may well be the convenient parking for the supporters. But even I have to say (putting my sensible hat on) that 1500 spaces for a 21,000 modern stadium is utterly shite. Why is parking so sparse?
  15. a guy on mad claiming that Leitch will be away and this move has the blessing of MM. Also claimed that Jocky Scott will be the assistant manager even though he has concerns about working with Miller due to trust issues going back to 1991. God knows what is correct, the rumour mill is certainly in full flow however. Possibly another 2 and a half months of this to come...
  16. Didn't know he had been on our books Al, can't say I know much of him. I know this shouldn't be the case but after the Pele experiment I'm very sceptical about lower league/level players. There are gems there of course but our recent track record has been nothing short of abysmal. Dennis Wyness at ICT does spring to mind, clearly couldn't cut it at SPL level
  17. thank fuck it's over.
  18. nice one mizer
  19. They've had their fingers in a lot of pies to be fair...
  20. The attitude of the modern day footballer... "they" haven't done enough. Ever thought you may not have done enough to warrant the offer of an improved deal you wee scrote?
  21. So our problems this season are purely down to the young players playing? Have a word with yourself man. it was a reason for sacking him, not the reason for sacking him. One of the main reasons he was sacked was because he said himself he had taken us as far as he could after beating Celtic. We won hardly any games after that so he, or you, can't really blame people for taking the view he had taken us as far as he could when he had said it himself, can you?
  22. I was of the understanding that certain Youth Development Officers had approached the board with their concerns about the management team's reluctance to use the youngsters available. Where has that been said? I'm not really sure what the point of having a good youth system (something our club simply has to have in this day) if they have a manager who is really not too keen on giving those youth players their chance. You're also talking as if those youth players would not have enhanced our performances last season, something which is of course debatable but by no means unlikely.
