  1. saw that on Mad too, Kow. just thought it was mischief making though
  2. He did, and good on him. Had he used them earlier we may have had an even better season.
  3. In fairness Padre, he brought in Josh Walker and promptly took the huff with him and either put him on the bench or didn't have him in his squad at all after their fall out which was criminal because he would have been one of our best players had his early promise continued. In my opinion both Paton and Pawlett should have been playing last season, I know they appeared towards the end but I think we could have and should have used them before that.
  4. Do you not think the team needs rebuilt? Most teams have a cycle of 3/4 years, this team needed rebuilt more than a year ago.
  5. Only reason i can think of is that he doesn't give a fuck if they get injured (out of contract players especially). Kerr, Mulgrew, McDonald, MacLean will be definites. Nelson? Aluko? Duff? Ifil?
  6. Richard Gordon implied on the radio tonight that meetings have taken place this week at Pittodrie to discuss the future of some personnel. May just be about getting new cleaners in right enough...
  7. It was a draw
  8. I thought this was going to be about that poem of Kipling's he wrote with MM in mind...
  9. I want Aberdeen to win. Always. I am not particularly fond of many of our players but they are our players whether I like it or not. Support the shirt at least. Just saw a small group of Killie fans about to head north for the game...they all looked a bit simple.
  10. It's prob bollocks but i don't think that'd necessarily be the reason why. I have heard repeated reports of a split in the changing room and they aren't too surprising, but how they've manifested over the season is surprising.
  11. Oh i know. I've witnessed it under R Aitken, A Miller, S Paterson, J Calderwood...
  12. I didn't renew after JC's first season (nothing to do with JC personally) and I had a season ticket or the equivalent since 1988. Once you stop, it's very hard to go back. I went 4 seasons without missing a game of any sort, 8 seasons without missing an away. I go to about 10 games a season now on average (been to a bit less than that this season), less than I'd like, but to be honest more than i can handle in the current climate. Just an indication of how things can go (although you obviously don't have the travelling to the home matches i had).
  13. He could stand on water but not play in midfield for Aberdeen. Unrealistic expectations of the fans to blame, I'd expect...
  14. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/aberdeen/8660739.stm I've included the link as there's a colour photo of him with the article. I know many of you have either never seen the cunt before or didn't even believe he existed...
  15. Hope he's better than his old man was for us (89 League Cup Semi goal aside), he had a heart the size of a pea.
  16. Probably the best thing MM has said since his arrival, particularly the bit about expectations. The only thing that bothers me though is that if he knows McDonald has been ding all season, why did he keep picking him?
  17. Even though it's May, it's still pretty cold out
  18. Read it again. I said with the same urgency, not with the same technique.
  19. had any of our players for the rest of the season been tackling with the same urgency as Diamond and Foster did we probably wouldn't have been the pushovers we have been all season. I think it is clear they were the acts of guys who were frustrated at what was going on around them. That doesn't excuse their stupidity, but it certainly reveals something a bit deeper.
  20. Chris Crighton in the P&J.
  21. Bobby Mimms if you don't mind!! Charlie was possibly the most intelligent player i've ever seen play for us. He was so good he didn't even have to run. That always impressed me. Still does, actually...
  22. what odds? not gettin any on betting sites just now
  23. South of England so he's close to his family....
  24. Miller deserves a lot of credit. As well as flak too, i'd imagine. It's just amazing how, when the first team are shit he gets pelters, when they're good he doesn't. I wasn't ever aware they were his responsibility considering he has never picked any of them nor given them tactics...
