  1. Think the ship has sailed on that one, he's been out of form for a couple of seasons now, it's not coming back.
  2. Outstanding. Well played man.
  3. Fucking IT? Fuck off. IT people are the most overpaid people on earth. If you're unhappy at the BBC go contracting at any number of places earning more. If you don't, it's your problem, no one else's. I'd much rather have Cosgrove and Wark on 40k a year doing what they do than have one IT person paid one penny more than they should.
  4. You, by the looks of it. Yeah, it's not great, but calling for replays of matches is fucking bonkers. Sticking up for the team? What you on about? It's an internet forum, I don't think UEFA read this. Or should we just shout and rant about everything being unjust, even if we don't agree with it? At what point have I said it's ok? More hysterical nonsense from you. I said we lost the game fair and square, which we did, and it's now time to move on.
  5. Hysterical pish.
  6. Wind-up, surely? Football is full of sensitive wee souls these days. They threw flares on the pitch, who cares? We're out because they were better than us on the night. Move on.
  7. Great through ball from Maynard to McLean... I would have expected Maynard to be busting a gut to get on the end of the return, or potential return, but he was nowhere to be seen. Obviously I'm only seeing it on TV, but Maynard certainly wasn't one of the two Dons players in the box. I think he looks lazy, and that's not just based on that instance there. GMS - has done a lot better for us than I had anticipated but he has a touch of the Joe Millers about him... does the hard part and then crosses to the ballboy at the back post behind the goal. I thought we would have started with Tansey tonight to keep a hold of the ball and try to anchor our midfield. Even though Tansey wasn't great when he came on i think that's what we needed from the start. Stockley is absolute shite. He brings us fuck all. McLean is having as good a start to this season as he did last season. Let's hope it doesn't take until December for him to get his finger out his arse this time. TV commentators lazily blamed Stewart at the first and while he wasn't great, there is no way Logan should have been tucked in as much as he was. Not sure why we were so tight, especially when we know Stewart's fitness isn't quite there yet and that he isn't the best defensively, there is no way Logan should be leaving that amount of space behind Stewart. I would lay the blame at Logan's door as much as Stewart's, if not more so.
  8. Last time we played out that way:
  9. Cheers Manc, saw your twitter post yesterday, much appreciated
  10. Heard this morning that it's unlikely to be on in Molly Malone's (there's a bar near there called Malone's, which may have it on), but i believe Rhoderick Dhu and the Admiral, both down on Waterloo St should be showing it tonight.
  11. 10% supposedly.
  12. You got a crystal ball now too? He scored against them in the only match he's played against them in the last 3 years. Is that not enough?
  13. Would that not likely be the case for all strikers due to the fact they're playing against bottom 6 fodder? It would be strange to see strikers only scoring against the top teams in the league, but not the dross. If Rooney is presented with chances and misses them, then it's probably time for him to have a rest. If he isn't getting chances then that is surely because those who are supposed to supply him, aren't supplying him. I don't think it's as easy as saying "Drop Rooney". I'm also not convinced Siroki are "higher class opposition".
  14. The Rock isn't showing it, they don't have Premier Sports. We believe that Molly Malone's on Hope St, (just off Sauchiehall St) will have it, they've had it the last couple of years.
  15. An extra paragraph has been added today to Duncan Fraser's email which is posted on John James site: https://johnjamessite.com/2017/07/19/the-discredited-lns-commission/
  16. hi folks, Still looking for players for Glasgow's Aberdeen supporters team, Red Stars. Had a bounce game on Saturday which we won 4-3, but we are still in need of reinforcements. Goalkeeper in particular is an area we have to strengthen in, but we're interested in good players for all positions. If you're interested, please get in touch here or via the email address in the opening post. Our season kicks off on 6 August, with pre-season training commencing on Monday evening.
  17. https://johnjamessite.com/2017/07/18/the-anatomy-of-a-cover-up/ Some interesting reading there, leaked emails including one from our own Duncan Fraser on whether the SFA should question the so-called punishments handed out to the huns. I appreciate it's from John James's site and he has been questionable in some of the stuff he has posted, but this makes for interesting reading.
  18. Kids are called Mason and Chelsea...
  19. David Robertson
  20. Arnason's the last Dons player to score against the team know as Glasgow Rang*rs FC (away from home too) Would be nice if he did against the team who replaced them as well.
  21. Funny thing is that my memories of Levein as a player are exactly as you say, but having watched that, and another couple of our matches against them, he kicked the ankles and shins of Gillhaus, Nicholas, Jess etc at most opportunities. Used to have a next door neighbour who was a big hun who would go to watch the huns training when his work shifts allowed. He would tell us each time he'd been that McPherson had beaten every one of his team mates in the sprints again, including Judas, who as we know was absolutely rapid.
  22. Enjoying the archive section of Red TV. Just watched a 3-0 pumping of Hearts (van de Ven, Mason, Bett pen)in the League Cup QF in 90-91, it was screened live by Sky, commentary by Martin Tyler and Andy Gray. Don't think I saw this at the time. Tyler at one point says that Britain should watch our play, we're the best in Britain apparently. Paul Mason's finish was exquisite, and he was utterly sublime during the game. Other interesting things from the game.... Peter van de Ven was recommended to us by Johan Cruyff. Brian Grant, according to Alex Smith, had little belief in himself despite being a brilliant player for us, Jim Bett was fed up of Andy Roxburgh and retired from Scotland at a stupidly early age. Other points of note: Walter Kidd, Kenny Black, Neale Berry, Dave McPherson, Craig Levein, Tosh McKinlay - horrendous excuses for footballers.
  23. Bit harsh, he was booked for showing the ref a half bottle of buckie that was chucked at him. As much as we don't like him/them, that is a nonsense decision and only encourages the arseholes who chucked it in the first place.
  24. Clearly not. He's not played this summer at all, but Storey has. McInnes indicated when GMS came in that Wright has a role to play for us this season, but obviously last night was too soon given his fitness issues in pre-season.
  25. Wright is only just coming back from injury, not sure if he's had any time at all pre-season. Would imagine that had a bearing on the decision not to put him on.
