Certainly do Al, amazing support that day (loads of boxing in Falkirk that day too) but I never want to have to go through that again.
-
that's a good point Al, and perhaps you could add in that there isn't the spirit within the club either. Remember the club paying for all the buses for the match at Firhill that season and there was an absolutely huge number of Dandies at that game and I think they did similar for the Tynecastle match. They also almost bargained with us, they assured us that were we to stay up, the squad would have significant investment in the summer. In fairness, both sides (us and the club) kept their part of the bargain, just a shame the investment didn't turn out as hoped. However, will there be a similar pledge this time around from Milne? If our predicament at the moment doesn't twist his arm on the funds available to the manager, then simply nothing will.

I honestly don't know what's best for us now. There is a huge danger that if the board do nothing - their preferred option, I would guess going on previous experiece - we continue to lose every week and we could be relegated. Not only that, the players that will be with us next season will have their confidence eroded, which doesn't augur well for next season. If they were to sack McGhee, they would need to have someone come in immediately. But, whoever comes in has to work with the same god awful players. Will anyone get anymore out of these guys? And if they can, are there not questions over the professionalism of the players then? This would point to them actively getting a man the sack. I'm sure none of us want people like that representing our team. However, if a new man was to come in, and actually gave us a bit of a lift in what is left of the season, he would at least then know what he needs for next season and he'd have the time to sort out the squad as he wants it in the summer. As I said, I really don't know what to think is best for us at the moment. I knew we were going to lose today, our players are pea hearted imposters and we have a manager who seems to have lost the plot around the same time he lost the dressing room which was quite a while ago now.

Cheers for the tips!

Wide midfield i could understand, but central midfielder?? What the WTF? -
Niche Market, Cloudy Lane, My Will and Don't Push It for me. My sister in law had a wee baby girl last night which is fantastic news obviously. My brother phoned me an hour ago and said, "if you're at a bookies today, can you put £10 on Don't Push It for me because the wife had to have a C-Section last night"

Copied from one of the boys on the hat: He loved the Dandies.

The only players my Grandad ever spoke about with the same adulation were Martin Buchan, Willie Miller and Jim Leighton. That's good enough for me. R.I.P Zoltan

Grassi says sorry / EE reports offer of new contract

Dear Christ. -
Obviously thought it was worth the gamble. Some you win, some you don't. The reaction of the Germans definitely influenced the ref on the Rafael second yellow. I thought it was a harsh booking and had the ref used the same principles throughout van Bommel wouldn't have seen past the 25th minute. Although it wasn't mentioned on the commentary last night, what the fuck was Ferdinand doing at the first goal? About 5 yards off his man who easily knocks it down for Olic. He can be a brilliant defender but at times he's just monumentally limp.

Crazy game. I'd say it's Barca's to lose now.

I'm against Plastic Pitches. Ask any player who plays on grass regularly and has to play on CSKA Moscow's pitch what they think of it. They have problems stopping when they usually would and turning as quickly as they usually would. All of that points towards joint injuries if you're using these pitches on a regular basis as there is no "give" in them, as you'd get with grass. Whether it's fourth generation "grasstroturf" or whatever, it doesn't and never will react like grass and as such, you will get more injuries to players. As someone who hasn't been able to play football for 5 years (partly) because of fairly infrequent playing on "grasstroturf" I'd hate to see pros have to play on this stuff every week. It will finish the careers of many before their time should be up. And let's not kid on it would improve the standard of football. Our players look shit scared when they're faced with the task of controlling a bouncing ball on a beautifully manicured Pittodrie on the first day of the season, and as for their passing on the same surface... changing the youth coaching rather than the surface would improve that part of the game.

You can't be that old then.

Barca are an excellent side, manc. I don't think they played anywhere near their best last night but Xavi and Iniesta are two of the best players in the world as well as Messi being the obvious outstanding player at the moment. the guy is exceptionally good, all this talk of "is he the best ever?" etc is bullshit in my opinion. He's only 22, no one can say he's the best ever until his career is a lot older. God forbid, but he could get injured next week and never play again/never be the same as he was and pricks like Richard Keys and Andy Gray will forget him as quickly as they've only just realised he's a bit of a player.

I think he'd be out his depth at Junior level. Amateur, then fair enough, but Junior would suggest someone would still be willing to pay for his services. -
I don't think there's anyone called Wayne playing, Kow...

Barca 3 Arse 1 Messi hat trick after Bendtner put the Arse one up. Three cracking finishes from Messi.
-
that was the 3-2 game was it not? Did the 2-1 game not have Rutkiewicz, Buckley et al playing?
-
was that game with the real shite in our ranks not 2-1? Prunty and Zdrillic? The tims started chucking stones etc as we were on our way out the ground. 3-2 was the season after i think, JC's first season? I've never seen us win at Ibrox. Was there earlier in the season and for a bit of that game I thought we could have sneaked it, but I don't hold out much hope tomorrow night.
-
We don't only have that number. That's the number who have bought tickets from the club directly, not those who have only gone through supporters clubs, friends etc. Not sure why you keep bringing the diet huns up. They're a fucking hellish football club with a right wing support who'd rather be at Ibrox than Tynecastle. If they had 300 million fans and we only had 800 it wouldn't bother me a bit. I wouldn't support that shower of scum if you paid me.
-
there are, or were, over 80k on the fans database the club has supposedly.
