  1. So he was at fault for one of their goals and yet still gets man of the match (from his boss at least). Doesn't say much for the others and what they're doing either in training or on the pitch, does it?
  2. The Arthur Bronson Outfit at Tuts on Friday. I know fuck all about them. I have a feeling it may be a bit ropey...
  3. Take a tenner off him for the "privilege"?
  4. Kluivert should lay off the weed in that case. He's still such a young guy, if he continues like this for years to come then fair enough, but to say he's better than someone like Maradona so soon is just daft.
  5. I always say it manc, but Park and Fletch were fucking fantastic. Only have to look at the winning goal for that. Jamie Carragher is possibly the worst player I've seen in Premiership football in a long, long time. Woeful defender but is given a stay of execution cos he's English despite the fact he's fucking shit. And Michael Carrick... dear fuck. You're playing in red son, try to find a similar shirt, even if it's in the crowd. Be as well playing Gibson who looks like an evil Carrick but just has the attitude that he'll shoot every time he gets the ball. Would be as well playing a fucking cannon in central midfield...
  6. Really? it's probably just as well then that Fergie was well warned when he got to Pittodrie that "Miller is a terrible trainer" and probably a good thing that Jock Stein once commented that his "two worst trainers" were his "two best players" in Kenny Dalglish and Willie Miller. You have to know your players. the fact he hasn't given the Duffer enough rope to hang himself with pisses me off to be honest. When Duff came on at ibrox this season he was our best player and he played full back for that 45 mins. If Duff deserves to be jettisoned then let it be on his performances and nothing else. He's an honest player which is more than can be said for so many.
  7. I bumped into Lee Mair on Wed night. He was eating Chips 'N' Cheese. No wonder he was slow. He seemed to enjoy his meal though.
  8. Few points here. I quite like Duff. I know he's not great but we have to have "squad" players and I'd be content if he was the yard stick for those. When played in the correct position he has rarely let us down. Secondly. Why has it taken so long for the manager to give Duff a chance to prove him wrong? Thirdly. What has Duff been doing in training so that McGhee had this view of him? I believe that these comments from McGhee are similar to those he said of Derek Young earlier in the season. How can it be that much of a surprise to the manager as to how his players play? And that is a negative against both management and players, incidentally.
  9. Fucking hell. 8 mins and one down already.
  10. Are they? Dundee are a shining example of not spending above your means and have been in the first division for years. Leeds United were in the semi finals of the CL less than ten years ago and are now in England's third tier and have been for some time. How is either of these things good? Do people talk about them in a good light? A patronising tone perhaps. Ask their fans where they'd rather be, would they rather not have had to go through the pain of the administrations and relegations and I doubt many would rush to agree with you. Lay off the weed.
  11. so why make it worse? Even contemplating this could be a good idea is fucking hideous.
  12. Think that's the only ray of light ahead. Get a bit of confidence in the team, don't want to see anyone frozen out or hung up as we're in this together. Come back from holiday and face the music ready to go for it next season.
  13. Was a cracker, and i actually remembered when i was on the phone to him that you were there. Showed you one of the Fulham goals in slo-mo, everyone behind the goal anticipates the goal and is just about to jump, apart from one guy who just stands there, hands in pockets!!! Was that you??
  14. Aye, fanny. He at least admitted that he wasn't good enough at writing sketches for Horne & Corden to get another series. That was a fucking woeful excuse for a comedy show.
  15. If only we could sack them!
  16. I came in late and started watching that game, my mate phoned and said the Fulham game was worth watching so turned over to that.. and that was a good game actually but 4-4..?
  17. The gist of it is: Don't give money to charities who help Africa.
  18. at least that one's funny: http://www.afc-chat.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=29402
  19. PR machine is in over-drive down at Pittodrie.
  20. I think Smith may have been the second season too, as we tried to get him in JC's first but failed.
  21. So surely you do care then? If it's success that you want for AFC then you must care that McGhee succeeds. And let's face it, the manager at any club is more than a small part. He's the most important man at the club in most cases, the man who carries the can for the club's fortunes. I am a million miles away from being convinced that the success we all want will be delivered by McGhee but we do have to give him time. Sacking him just now would be ludicrous. And if we did sack him just now, and we get the new guy in, what if some players decide they're not going to play for him either as that's certainly one part of our current problems. Do we just sack him too after less than a year in charge?
  22. Strange choice of person to take a quote from on Aberdeen.
  23. Did well with a team of players that he probably had no input into buying and the players were on wages we couldn't even begin to think about paying.
