  1. Mulgrew has no interest in playing for us beyond this season. True story. Kerr... well, I liked Kerr last season, I thought he was tidy as fuck and did a job that we really needed someone to do. I was delighted he was there to do that job. I'm not entirely sure why he's turned into Ernie from Bert & Ernie (guess who Bert is...) but the fact is that he has. So we're now looking at one out of two for Kerr. Can we gamble that he makes it 2 out of 3 in our favour? I don't think we can. He's captain by name only and it sticks in my throat that he has that honour. In fact, I find it fucking hideous that he has that honour. He can fuck off. As for The Invisible Man...
  2. In Scotland, yes. Would have been at least two years ahead of the OF with CR Smith. There is a horrible, horrible trail that can be left from Mr Dick going back the way that basically spells disaster for AFC. If any of you haven't realised it before, start at 4.40pm, 11 May 1991 and work back the way.
  3. Agree with you re Owen, he was excellent up til his injury. Hope it's not a sign of things to come. Vidic settled well after leathering Agbonlahor which was nice. Rooney's finish was excellent, but Valencia again was tremendous. Feel a bit sorry for the guy, heard someone a couple of weeks ago say "that's him now set up more goals this season than Ronaldo did in all of last season", someone instantly replied with "He's only 22 goals behind though..." That's a bit shit, ye know? The guy's doing very well, linking well with Rooney, be happy with that... Don't however, be happy with Tony Adams on the Spanish Football. What a cunt.
  4. Crikey: Tim Burgess said re "Some Friendly" Roundhouse gig:
  5. I thought you were talking about the drugs you were taking for it!
  6. Thought the OF game was ok, bit better than recent efforts anyway. Vida should have got a yellow I think as the ball was rolling through to the keeper and also because it seems that Martin O'Neill is cracking up over it which is nice. J Park played really well today, but why, and it happened with Rooney's effort too, does Andy Gray feel the need to tell us that Park then Rooney have hit the post? I've got eyes you hun spastic. I can spot when the ball deviates for fucks sake.
  7. Try them now that they've won the Carling Cup! oh wait....
  8. L to the O to the L.
  9. My r*n***s supporting mate was round earlier and we spoke about this. Shell wanted to sponsor us and Chris Anderson actively encouraged it but Dick Donald didn't want their name on the front of our shirts (or anyone's name, for that matter). So he compromised with Anderson and let our training tops be sponsored by Hydrasun. Good move, Dick!
  10. That pretty much covers it for me.
  11. Jesus wept.
  12. Why not phone Fergie?
  13. Exactly. If that is the case then fuck all else has to be said. They are wage thieves and I'd happily see everyone of them hung, drawn and quartered at the Castlegate.
  14. If they don't know how to pass by now then they probably shouldn't be pro footballers. Delegation fodder is good though!!!
  15. I know you didn't, but one person in this thread seems to think that's my view on him and that's never been the case.
  16. The spending Smith and Scott did probably paid for itself in that we won two trophies and had second place finishes (it almost certainly did as we were in the black at the time Miller bacame manager). I never for a second said that JC was a bad manager - for the simple fact I don't believe that's the case - just that the claim he was the best since Fergie was somewhat wrong, and it is. Not sure if your last line is anything to do with my quote or not, but I sincerely hope it's not.
  17. Also, Porterfield had more or less the same resources and did fuck all with that side, in fact, we were in a pretty bad way - relatively - when he was with us. So yes, I do think Smith/Scott can class themselves the most successful since Fergie.
  18. Smith and Scott. Better resources, yes, but if they hadn't done well with them then they'd be derided for that. So credit where it's due. Belter.
  19. No offence nt, but claiming JC was the best manager we've had since Fergie is just as retarded as any of the things you list there.
  20. A touch of paranoia or a nod towards the fact arsenal are soft as shite these days? Not saying either is right, just playing Devil's Advocate. Nothing new my man. Been like that all their existence. Cunts to a man, just because their club has money and is now in with Europe's big boys doesn't mean their fans are any classier. Utter scumbags.
  21. I prefer XTRMNTR but also not listened to that for moons.
  22. I'd say it's more pertinent at Pittodrie because we are really struggling there, but yeah I generally agree with that.
  23. Another thing I meant to add: Our team has been like this for over a year now. Gutless performances punctuated with the odd cracker (Celtic 4-2 and 4-4 and beating the huns), that surely suggests that there is something inherently wrong with the attitude of our players?
  24. I don't think it's a relevant point about teams playing defensively and us struggling to break them down. Teams for as long as I can remember - with the exception of a couple of very bleak seasons - have always come to Pittodrie and sat in. That's just part of the game and it's our job to break them down. None of that means that players shouldn't be arsed, nor is it an excuse that players get careless with their passing or their touch.
