  1. I listened to Screamadelica today... it's been a while since I listened to it all from start to finish. I'm not sure if it's just because I generally think of it as a summer album for me, but I don't think it's aged well.
  2. That may be why! Tried to block him out my mind altogether. Shawcross has been called up for England. Not on the strength of that tackle, I should add!
  3. Have to say I don't recall the Diaby incident.
  4. Ebbe made Darren Young captain and Young wanted Skovdahl out.
  5. Well, he maybe isn't very good at his job. I've never been overly convinced either way. But do you think the players are putting in an honest shift every week? Whether the manager isn't very good or not, players should still be putting in a shift or is it ok for them not to if they don't like their manager? I don't believe Mark Kerr has forgotten how to pass the ball ten yards because Mark McGhee isn't as good a manager as JC, do you believe that? Those players bust a gut in the game v Celtic, and now it seems they're back to not giving a fuck.
  6. Ok, so we get rid of McGhee. And get another guy in. What if they don't like him either? Sack him? And then the next guy that comes in and so on and so forth. McGhee has made mistakes, and is continuing to make mistakes which is more than extremely worrying, but those imposters we call professional footballers are cheating every single person who holds this club dear. A mate of mine said to me today "at least they looked as though they tried today"... and that's a positive? Jesus fuck.
  7. dear oh dear. Was it a bad challenge or just a total accident?
  8. i missed that because i turned it over for the Spanish football... has it shown a replay? Or has Sky decided again that we shouldn't see it, a la Eduardo's injury a couple of years ago?
  9. Most of our legends will be in the 80s to present squad, but I'd say you could add in Martin Buchan, Arthur Graham and Joe Harper for three of the five to add in. Some of the older guys would have a better idea about that part... over to BigAl and MBT... As for the rest... all red kit (we've had some with white shorts) and I suppose you could say that our "signature" side had a fair amount of aggression and power which was supplemented by whispy wingers such as Peter Weir and Gordon Strachan. Always 4-4-2, but with Miller playing slightly off McLeish at the back so he was almost a sweeper in a back four, a lot of our attacks were also started with Miller springing from the back, linking with the midfield and attack. Our best teams all played the ball on the deck and with a lot of pace.

  11. Not playing today. Young at right back.
  12. I'd say your 80's squad looks fine except: Mackie(x2) and Zerouali. Would replace them with Mark McGhee, Paul Mason and Peter Weir.
  13. well, not quite die...
  14. I think Mr Trump would have a bit of an issue investing in something where the current custodian - also a multi millionaire - refuses to invest in the same venture and has refused to do so for many years now.
  15. That's always been the case in my experience.
  16. 2-1, stormer from Cambiasso who i think is a really cracking midfielder. Real Madrid were off their heads to let him go.
  17. Aye Terry was honking at that goal. Looked really camp with it too... bit late pretending you're a blade now, cunto!!
  18. I was going to say that I thought McGhee would have said "We could be in a relegation fight if results go against us this weekend", primarily because for most players this would give them the kick up the arse required. Then I remembered what a shower of gutless cunts we have playing for us and also realised they wouldn't give a fuck as long as they still got paid at the end of the week.
  19. Read an article about the Bundesliga a month ago. The government/local councils ensure that football is affordable for all because they appreciate the role football and sport in general has in society. There is little or no chance of that happening in this country.
  20. Come on, they're sometimes working 7 days a week depending on which paper you read. I mean 7 days, at 2.5 hours a day... is it any wonder they think they've got it bad..? And it is truly astounding that with all this extra work they're doing, not one of them can seem to master the basics of the game. They must be too tired, the poor wee lambs.
  21. They had big vertical individual lights behind them when that came on, must have been about 20 lights in total and one would go on, then another and it would build up with the song, just added to the atmosphere of a really jumpin, sweaty barras. wonderful.
  22. Just watched this Kow and I loved it. Lovely reminder of how baggy they were around the time of She's So High and There's No Other Way. I've always thought Graham was a bit of a knob but I thought he came across as alright on that and I ended up feeling a bit sorry for him. Was a wee bit disappointed there wasn't more of Dave, either from himself or stories from the others. He's regarded as the drunkest member of a very drunk group and there seems to be a bit of mystery around him altogether. Was delighted "Sing" was played towards the end of the film, one of the finest moments of any gig I've ever been at was them doing "Sing" at the Barras... fucking epic.
