  1. corporate investment, whether that's the executive boxes, shirt sponsorship, pitchside advertising etc. If he's not viewed fondly within local business circles because of his own business dealings a lot could take their investments elsewhere.
  2. I am pretty certain Duncan Fraser is the highest paid director.
  3. I think in the case of Kerr he is just incapable of completing any sort of pass, so maybe that's just a lack of talent, but when that player is your central midfielder and captain, i.e. the focal point of your team, then you've got big, big problems. I am not calling for the manager's head, far from it. But it doesn't make it easy to have much faith when guys like Kerr and The Invisible Man get picked regardless of form. They seem unmotivated as you point out, continually picking them on that form isn't going to change their levels of motivation.
  4. We knocked it about well in the first 20 mins or so of the game on Saturday. Then it stopped and never started again.
  5. That's startling. Losing to anyone at home wouldn't have been accepted when McGhee played for us, there's no reason for it to be accepted now he's manager.
  6. They're professional footballers (by name, at least), what McGhee is asking them to do should not be beyond them. He's asking them to pass and move more than the previous regime. They are the basics of playing football, if they can not handle that so called transition after almost 7 months then I suggest that they are neither talented enough nor clever enough to play for us. Zander is the closest thing we have to a leader and yet he was overlooked for the captaincy, at a push I'd even be more content with Foster as our captain, because other senior players - Kerr, McDonald, Mulgrew - just don't want to know. These are supposedly the guys that Pawlett, Fyvie and Paton should look up to? Frightening. It's a bad day where I'd advocate starting Young or Duff or possibly both in a crunch cup game but at least I'd know that both would fight for us. Too many of these clowns are a waste of a jersey, a jersey they're not fit to wear.
  7. Precisely. Aberdeen should never lose at home to anyone, it's happened multiple times already this season. Nowhere near acceptable.
  8. If he wasn't going to do it in August, he should have done it in January... and that's getting rid of Mark Kerr and the Invisible Man. Midfield, and centre midfield in particular is the most important area of the pitch. These two heartless, clueless fuckers are indicative of AFC's malaise. Get your midfield right and it's half the battle, our midfield hasn't looked right all season.
  9. Diamond starts as do the two new boys.
  10. should have gone for Mido... £1k a week. That's a third of what Lee Miller was on, and 1/100th of what Willie Miller is on according to some.
  11. Typical attitudes of non-NE, weegie fakers, fake fans.
  12. Daniel Amokachi? Usually the club website says "We won't be concluding any more business etc" on deadline day, doesn't it? Really can't believe we'd let both Maguire and Miller go with only one coming in, especially with Wright already gone.
  13. pleased it's Maguire that's away on loan rather than Paton.
  14. Hopefully at left back and Foster can go to right back and Grassi can go play with the traffic.
  15. I'd live without the friendly to be honest.
  16. Sorry, blonde pigeons chief.
  17. I understand what he's saying too, doesn't mean I shouldn't ask him about it should it? I've missed a lot and only seen some matches and I'm far from happy with what I'm seeing, the fact I questionned him doen't mean I think he should believe one thing when I believe another. It was a genuine question and I was looking for a genuine answer.
  18. High expectations? The last time I had them of the Dons that cunt (sic) McKimmie was marshalling the defence, Brian Grant was telling £1m signing Paul Bernard how to play midfield and Duncan Shearer and Scott Booth were telling Billy Dodds "It's alright, we'll take over from here, cunto". My dreams were destroyed long ago and I wouldn't entrust such things in the current retards who play in the jerseys I wrongly follow and strangely worship. It's a shite state of affairs Jager, that much is true. They are bad, but they need our support. Whether you agree with McGhee or not is irrelevant. And you know why.
  19. That was kind of the joke FJ if you'd care to read what I wrote....
  20. I certainly don't hold out the hope either, fair do's that that's your attitude. Just ask because it certainly wasn't your previous stance ye know?
  21. Aye, cos that's not happened recently... oh, wait. Why can't you move on and give people a chance?
  22. Do you know what day of the week it is?
  23. "good/really good + donkey". Ok. So, you think Anderson was a good player, could he not take the place of the donkey you quote? It's not who made the best partnership... WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you think Smith was a better player than Anderson (I assume) despite his total arse collapse once McLeish left his side?
