  1. Airdrie away could be "pwopa naughtee"
  2. This could get sloppy.
  3. Edinburgh City or Montrose at home.
  4. Theo should get it anyway purely for punching Keith Wright. That was a "LOL" moment if ever there was one
  5. He certainly wasn't his best after that cunt McCoist broke his head. Also need to remember that when he left he was our No.2 keeper (although, I certainly didn't agree with that choice)
  6. and also put this man on the map.. and just because we can..
  7. I think he should still have done better, but it doesn't matter now thankfully.
  8. on TV in early 86 i believe.
  9. Sorry if this has been posted before That's part one of three. I'll hopefully get the next two parts as well. ps Look at the size of Eric Black's shoulders (in a non-homoerotic way, unless you're that way inclined), but with the exception of Fraser Fyvie, when was the last time we brought through a player that didn't look as though he needed a good bowl of soup in him?
  10. Not in my book MBT, I think McGeady is an excellent player and knows when to run at players and when to cross/shoot which Maguire doesn't. I know that McGeady can look ordinary at times but I think that's just the way it goes for wingers. They're reliant on their team mates getting the ball to them on the wing, and very often, if they don't get it early they won't doing anything for the rest of the match. Just the way it goes, but I think McGeady is a very good player.
  11. I think there is a desire to fulfill it, however, I think it's a desire 100% to fulfill it his own way so that Chris Maguire is the story, rather than the team. He has ability and ergo potential but so many of his performances have indicated that his decision making and quite possibly his ego stop him from being a good footballer. I think the UK (in particular) is in danger of producing a whole generation of "YouTube players". Guys who can do all the tricks and flicks but don't actually have any clue as to how to play the game of football. And I think Maguire falls into that category or is certainly bordering on it. They think that's all it takes to be a player... Sky shows glimpses of Joe Cole fannying about with the ball and these lads think "that's what you have to do to make it". Well, it's not. And it amazes me after a few seasons in the first team squad now that Maguire still hasn't got it into his head that he is part of a team and that he has to play with his head up. If he changes those two things in particular, I think he could be a huge asset to us.
  12. Santander beat Sevilla 2-1 in what was a brilliant game, the Santander keeper was absolutely fantastic. Third successive league defeat for Sevilla, very much weakened by the Africa Cup of Nations.
  13. I'm not 100% convinced of Ifil but what I would say is that I get the impression he's a bit of a confidence player in the respect that if he gets a good tackle, clearance, interception etc in early, he'll go on to have a good game. If he has a shaky moment early on it seems to prey on his mind a bit and he looks edgy from then on in. Merely being willing to make a tackle is not the sign of a good defender, knowing when to tackle is the crux of the matter. The last thing our fragile defence needs is people flying into tackles they'll never win. I'm not sure why you'd want to waste time training him to play full back, knowing that you may never make a defender/wing back out of him when you could actually just sell him (if you're not going to use him up front) and get a proper full back in.
  14. Yeah, and maybe he'll stop running like a girl too...
  15. McGhee's interview today before the match stated it was 4-4-2 with Derek Young at right back and Ross at left back.
  16. absolutely agree. not sure why he was one of the youngsters spared from loan moves in the past. Has always looked lightweight and you'd hope going to the lower leagues would toughen him up. Not sure it would have necessarily improved his decision making, right enough.
  17. Second booking for Fletcher was soft as fuck. Clattenburg is a joke of a ref. United still struggling to create and never look comfortable at the back without van der Sar and particularly Vidic. Racing Santander one up at Sevilla, that's a bit of a shock.
  18. Thread on Kickback already calling for Csaba to get the bullet.
  19. No idea how it works to be honest. Derek Young is at full back today.
  20. Miller's playing.
  21. i didn't realise Foster was suspended for this one
  22. Conceding defeat already?
