  1. Can anyone confirm if Eoin Jess was blind in one eye? There was an interview with Duncan Shearer years ago and he said that Jess was the best player he'd played with "and to make it even more amazing he only has sight in one eye."
  2. Started today for ICT. I really didn't mind Duff, very much in the same way I didn't mind Lee Mair. Didn't want them in the first XI every week, but adequate squad players for us. Not that I'm losing any sleep over either, right enough...
  3. Pitch Inspection at 1pm according to lads on Mad.
  4. The above is taken from Mad (cheers, Ed!)
  5. McKimmie is an Aberdeen legend. Two league titles, 3 Scottish Cups, 3 League Cups and a European Super Cup. If he's not a legend, then half the guys we think are Dons legends are nowhere near it. He was a world class full back and the pish he speaks in the press and his giving the fingers to the South Stand changes none of that. He shouldn't have done it and I'm sure he's not proud of it but we all make mistakes, I think McKimmie has done enough for this club to deserve forgiveness. I really don't understand some of the vitriol towards the guy, he was consistently one of our best players in some of our best ever sides, last captain to lift a trophy for us and always played for us with a passion that not one of our current players has.
  6. Been thinking that a long time, just look at the state of the message boards for signs of that.
  7. I'm hoping for a place as well, don't hold out much hope right enough!
  8. was never a big fan of Arild,to be honest manc. Thought Booth was excellent when he came back to us, really intelligent player. Always had the ability and I reckon he came back a better player. Just a shame he was in Paterson's team.
  9. Bits in bold I believe are huge problems with our club.

  11. As I've said before, his public perception is not good. Comes across as a comedic character in the media, wants to be everyone's mate which shows a lack of balls etc. The only thing that should really come into it is how he does his job, which generally speaking was better than Levein, for example. But Levein while not being a bad manager by any stretch of the imagination, talks a good game.
  12. Deloumeaux and Nicholson to create and the other two to win the ball for them. If anyone gets passed those two, fear not, the saviour of Aberdeen will be waiting for them, sitting in his deck chair with a shotgun...
  13. Best Aberdeen Player of the Decade: Russell Anderson Best homegrown player: Eoin Jess Best signing: Scott Severin Best goalkeeper: Peter Kjaer Best defender: Russell Anderson Best midfielder: Scott Severin Best forward: Scott Booth Best manager: Jimmy Calderwood Pick an XI from the decade: Kjaer Hart Anderson Heikkinen McNaughton Nicholson Severin Bisconti Deloumeaux Jess Booth Game of the Decade: Copenhagen Biggest single disappointment of the decade: No trophy Best opposition player of the decade: Henrik Larsson
  14. No one suggest he was, is or ever will be. Don't quite get why you're directing apparent aggression towards someone who was a very good player and a player who regularly put his neck on the line for us. One out of two. Must do better.
  15. You're talking about value for money. not the same thing as the actual worst player. He had some very good games for us and was player of the month once, more than can be said for Brian O'Neil, for example. Dave min - Jess re-signed for us pre-2000

  17. Not a chance Bernard is anywhere near our worst midfielder.
  18. Quality contribution. Had this been the end of the 80's no doubt you'd have said the same for Willie Miller.
  19. London Huns one down at half time to the hammers. Penalty kick by Zander's Italian cousin, Alessandro Diamanti
  20. As the decade comes to an end, thought we could have some "awards", so let us know who you think should win the following: Best Aberdeen Player of the Decade: Best homegrown player: Best signing: Best goalkeeper: Best defender: Best midfielder: Best forward: Best manager: Pick an XI from the decade: Game of the Decade: Biggest single disappointment of the decade: Best opposition player of the decade:
  21. 2-0 to the Barcodes over the Boro, TF. You watching it on BBC? Strachan's fairly made an impact down there eh?
  22. 2-1 to Hertz. Bouzid with a header, only 13 mins left
  23. Fantastic gig last night, the place was absolutely bouncing. They played Stir It Up... fucking mega, highlight of the night for me.
