  1. Was there progress on that last season? I think we'll have to go backward a bit to go forward again. Patience is a virtue etc and any other cliche that's applicable here.
  2. Giving me a sore head too so I should probably stop looking at it. Their shadows look quite camp actually.
  3. If I were Adam I'd be worried about your "interest" in his daily activities...
  4. I am just amazed he is paid to write.
  5. Barthez's best days certainly weren't in a United shirt. Seemed to bottle it in a few big matches, one at Highbury in particular. He was a good keeper in general, just not at Old Trafford.
  6. Van der Sar has been a fantastic keeper for United. I thought Barthez was next to hopeless for them.
  7. fucking West Ham have just fucked my line of 3 draws. CUNTS!!!
  8. Lyon score at the death v Liverpool. 1-1
  9. few punches thrown and the police/stewards using gas on them. Why are these cunts allowed to go anywhere after last year's efforts in Manchester?
  10. Tom, to say that you do not rate Zidane is entirely different to saying you think he was over rated. I see football as a form of entertainment, and if it's entertainment you are looking for who better to give you it than guys like Zidane, Del Piero and Jess? Crawford Baptie, Carlton Palmer and Paul Kane? I get the feeling you may opt for the latter group...
  11. That just kind of confirms to me that you are dead when it comes to football. As we've discussed before, you love the wee guys winning etc, I love brilliant football. If you seriously do not rate Zidane, then simply you know fuck all. No offence Tom, as you seem like a nice bloke, but if thats your view then you clearly know fuck all about the game. Best of luck to you, however.
  12. Utter nonsense. Unless you are joking/fishing but i don't believe you are Tom. The ball is coming square on to Yeboah and the goal. Look at how awkward Zidane's strike was, left hand side, left foot, contorted his body into some sort of shape AND got it into his near top corner... If tony Yeboah had even attempted that he'd have given himself a hernia. Of course, he could have attempted it. He couldn't have executed it though.
  13. Indeed. However, are you aware the guy in your avatar has been arrested for domestic abuse? Apparently the other day he played his latest album to his wife...
  14. Reekie, sort it out...
  15. Apparently DD wasn't too keen on the Dons top being ruined with some company's logo and that's an old fashioned view which i can totally understand him taking. I don't want to criticise the guy, cos he loved the club as much as we all do. He was delighted that we were the top boys in Europe and had a few million in the bank... who wouldn't be...?
  16. Well, Anderson wanted us to get shirt sponsorship with Shell who did offer it. Donald settled on sponsorship on the back of the training tops from Hydrasun. Donald baulked at the £1m fee for Boniek (supposedly) but Anderson urged him to go for it because of the media exposure, increased gates etc (again, supposedly). It's all conjecture, of course, but look at what both deals could have done for us.
  17. In the Grauniad's "Best of YouTube" feature this week they have the link to the "lost" Jan Molby goal which was against Man Utd in the Milk Cup during a supposed live TV strike in the mid 80's. I've heard so much about this goal from both United fans and Kop-ites who were present that upon seeing it, I'm actually a bit disappointed! I was a big fan of Jan Molby's, I thought he was a fantastic player (not much of a driver though) and as the Grauniad points out... check his pace at the start of the move...
  18. Don't you know that he's a rich man and he'll intimidate you with his wealth?
  19. Totally, but I also feel that Dick Donald - as good a chairman as he clearly was - let the club down in not taking us forward when he was able to do so. Things like him not wanting to have a shirt sponsor after we won the ECWC etc was very shortsighted, and had he listened to Chris Anderson more then things may have been so, so different in the finance side as well as the playing side.
  20. That will only ever work if the middle two realise they have a responsibility to put a shift in every time they put the jersey on. On their form of last season, I agree that it could be a very promising line up for us, on their form this season, I wouldn't start either of them.
  21. According to LS DT has 7 days to change it*. *i'm a complete technophobe and have no idea what it is they're actually talking about, but the thinly veiled threat amused me. Someone obviously thinks they're a big man...
  22. it started before he was in charge but it then snowballed rapidly.
  23. The RDS thing is a bit of a myth though is it not? Considering we got a sizeable grant from the football trust for it and were in the black when we started building it, it didn't put us into the sort of debt people think it did. And that of course was under Ian Donald's stewardship, which I did point towards in my previous post.
  24. Are you fishing? If it's not Milne (and Ian Donald) who is responsible then who is? You can argue that clowns like Aitken and Alex Miller are responsible but as a senior member of the board who appointed them and then threw money at them I'd say he takes a fair chunk of the blame.
  25. I did think of you GD but then thought you were from elsewhere originally... but that's maybe GS i'm thinking of? Apologies my man.
