Good goal from a good player. think he has all the attributes to be a really cracking player.
I would also think that people like Chick Young are more than a little scared of Smith.
Well, there is a reason there are empty shop fronts. No one is buying. So if we left Bridge St, who would buy that? Possibly no one for a while, so that's more expense for the club for quite possibly no increase in revenue. It would be expense for the sake of cosmetic change. Also not sure why a local would give them a favourable deal. I certainly wouldn't if it was my property, business is business after all...
was out last night and on my way home I bumped into some of the subway loyal... Wattie Must Go apparently. I agreed and urged them to install Ally McCoist as manager.
WMG. AMIG.
Think Sevilla look a good price at Evens with Paddy Power.
Will also stick a couple of quid on the huns and the bin dippers losing tonight just for the sheer hell of it. 7/2 and 4/1 respectively.
You'd need to clarify which part of 84 you mean and which part of 1990... for example, Rougvie, McGhee and Strachan left in the summer of 84 and Billy stark become more of a regular in the side after that and McDougall came in for McGhee. Charlie Nicholas left in the summer of 1990 and only van de Ven came in (I think). Also McKimmie and McLeish played in both...
However, I think in general the 84 side would shade it. Eric Black v Brian Irvine? Shootie in...
As you say though Mini times have changed. Some of our best players through the years may well have enjoyed a scoop, but think of how much better they could have been if they abstained.
The problem is this country's attitude to drinking, rather than drink itself. A lot of players on the continent will have a beer or a glass of wine with their meals, but that's where it stops. Roberto Carlos used to have a couple of beers with his pre match meal. The attitude of having to go out and get shit faced is the problem. That problem isn't just one in football, it's societal.
I earned Scotland caps at that time, too. I wouldn't advise MM signing me (I've signed to The Captain's Rest XI anyway...). Ross looked ok at the huns cos they defend from the front. He's been down to England and he's been abroad. At no point has his club been overly keen to keep him, and so he comes back to Scotland to tout himself. That's a worry. I agree with Al, this isn't a positive step. He's here so we need to get on with it, but I hope Zander and Ifil are back quickly, cos I'd imagine with all our players fit this tit won't get a game.
Liverpool lost to Sunderland (had a tenner on the black cats)
Falkirk are fucked by the looks of things. Jutes got a late equaliser against Hamilton.
Had Aberdeen managed to get a goal at the death I'd have been £500 richer...
A face i'd never tire of booting to fuck.

Strictly speaking not on TV, but I've been watching this tonight with a few beers... and it's tremendous stuff:

Ajja's right. A message does have to be sent that continual poor perfomances will not be continually rewarded - or will not continually go unpunished, there has to be a price to pay and frankly I'm fed up of AFC paying the price for having these guys around rather than the guilty parties being allowed to continue.
