  1. No. Miller had a flicked header at the front post in the first half that was cleared at the back post on the line.
  2. aye, and then again...
  3. cracking tackle from Flamini for AC tonight, looked a bit dirty and Sky are, as usual, outraged by it but it is a real old fashioned 50-50 crunching tackle. Lovely stuff!
  4. Watching the Besiktas-Man Utd game. Pretty poor, but what the fuck has happened to Michael Carrick? He's having a horrible season, even this early into it. Confidence and touch looks shot in equal measures - each is partly linked to the other of course but he's looking really like a shadow of his former self. Antonio Valencia is having a very good game though, think he could be a really good player. Real Madrid 3-0 up away to Zurich, Wolfsburg 2-0 up against CSKA and Milan 1-0 up away to Marseille. Everything else is goalless.
  5. New series of Peep Show starting on Friday.
  6. gone for Chelseahunwanks, Man Utd and Bayern all minus one goal. Treble comes in at just over 10/1. Reckon United may fuck it up though.
  7. No, just her red, red wine...
  8. Not too keen on this 4-3-3 malarky so far. Kerr and Mcdonald have been utterly annonymous. Would rather have seen Aluko on for Mackie rather than Paton.
  9. It perhaps said more about his team mates than anything else, and it's not really Anderson's fault that folk are giving him MOTM when he doesn't deserve it. I did a LOL at that bit.
  10. So now Anderson played badly every fucking game?
  11. Padre, can't see that pic in work but I'm hopeful it's of Alan Partridge.
  12. You never see any of those guys play badly? I once saw Zidane have a poor game. True story.
  13. Not at all manc, I think Fletcher has been outstanding for United in the last year or two and it's getting to the point now where I would say he's first choice but it's more to do with who's playing next to him where the problem lies. They miss Ronaldo of course, no team in the world wouldn't miss him, but United are better placed than most to cope... but the balance of the team seems all wrong at the moment.
  14. I would like to know what's going on with Carrick. he's been honking all pre-season then on Sunday before the match Fergie was asked why he wasn't picked, Fergie said "You'll have to ask him that." which suggests he's been up to something he shouldn't be. Anderson has a lot of energy and is generally good in a midfield 3 but is pretty annonymous in a 2. If Hargreaves is finished (I reckon he is, you don't get rid of tendonitis and he's missed so much football already), Scholes is older, Carrick is playing like a big girl... he needs a strong midfielder in. Fletcher is United's best midfielder at the moment, and no disrespect to the guy because he is a good player, but that shouldn't be the case.
  15. They've been utterly woeful, eh? Big problems in central midfield (to name but one)
  16. Fit? I think he's injured.
  17. In other words, "don't reply unless you agree with me". That's a good open minded attitude there. With regard to "notability"... I can fully live without "notability" if it means I don't kill an innocent person while invading their country in the name of an unjust war. At the end of the day, the troops are ordered out there and I'm sure you'd rather personally not be there and fair fucks to you for doing a job I could never, and would never do. But, to claim that anyone who doesn't want us in a war in Iraq or Afghanistan is a member of the "PC Brigade with rose tinted glasses" or a hippy is frankly ridiculous and maybe you should open up your mind to the bigger picture here.
  18. Had £20 on Arsenal, Copenhagen and Wigan tonight... Wigan currently fucking things up for me for £120
  19. Michael Stewart sent off for second booking, it was a brainless challenge really.
  20. Surely McGeady wouldn't go to the Championship and Boro must know that?
  21. I'm no fan of JC's but I doubt very much we'd have put in such a woeful performance had he been in charge on Saturday, there would at least have been some semblance of fight.
  22. Pretty much, they have to put the past couple of weeks out their heads now and get on with it. McGhee has to learn from his mistakes, which from Saturday didn't look to be the case
