  1. It's only odd penalties he's hitting though, so that's ok...
  2. I'd probably opt for that too, although not sure about the right back place either.
  3. Heavy riot police presence at this game, hopefully it all kicks off soon, you mugs!
  4. Berra's just made an utter cunt of it, 2-0. Hellish footballer.
  5. True, but it has always made me wonder if he's making signings with just "top six" in mind. I know that it's a safety net for him, as you say, he can wheel that stat out when he's up against it, but I do wonder if the continual talk of it as something to aim for has in itself hindered us.
  6. Anyone get the feeling Miller thinks Maguire is on fire right now?
  7. Might just have been a rather optimistic father of Ricky Foster...
  8. Ok then, to put it another way, there are different levels of achievement, some of which are worth talking about. Some are not.
  9. I get irritated by JC when he lists a top six finish in each of his seasons with us as an achievement, and to be fair he does bang on about it a lot. But, as you say you have to be in it to be challenging for third come the end of the season. And if we finished outwith it there would be hell to pay, so he's kinda damned if he does, damned if he doesn't in a way. Just wish he'd stop talking about it...
  10. And our "should win easily" games i.e. Caley Thistle at home, Hamilton home and away, Falkirk away, Huns at home etc
  11. Aye, that ship has sailed I think.
  12. No doubt some of the "home" fans, too...
  13. I think the Northern Light Stadium would be good. Would also like to see the stands named after Dons Legends. The Willie Miller Stand, The Alex Ferguson Stand, The Dougie Bell End etc...
  14. Stretford End, near the back of the top tier. Tough game tomorrow with Rooney, Scholes and especially Vidic out.
  15. Good stuff, good to see the banners are positive and not along the lines of "Get your fingers out you bone idle cunts". A couple of the lads on AbMad have said it was as poor a team performance as they've seen from the Dons which is worrying.
  16. Only saw the 20 mins but it looked like constant pressure from the dippers. I'm down at OT tomorrow, hope they do the job.
  17. Fulham 0 -1 Liverpool. Benayoun in the 92nd minute, fucking knew they were going to do that
  18. What a surprise that is! This sort of thing adds fuel to the fire for his detractors. 3-5-2 pretty much never works for us, so why does he persist with trying this every so often?
  19. Are you JC?
  20. I try to avoid taking the early game for that exact reason!
  21. Is it definitely 3-5-2? Could have Seve in midfield with McDonald, Foster and Mulgrew as fullbacks and Smith and Young out wide
  22. Yeah, finished 2-2. United murdered them in the second half, scored in the last minute and to be honest probably deserved more than a draw. Spurs have just lost a last minute goal to Blackburn, looks to be Blackburn's three points with a 2-1 win.
  23. Redweb is giving some rather strange info re today's line up: Injury and suspension has forced Jimmy Calderwood into four changes to the starting eleven who drew with Hibs a fortnight ago. Diamond, Wright, Kerr are all missing while Sone Aluko drops to the bench. Lee Miller makes a welcome return alongside Maguire Mair and Young. Joining Aluko on the bench are Bossu, Vidal, Duff, Stewart, Paton and Crawford. The full starting line up is: Aberdeen: Langfield, Foster, Mulgrew, Considine, Diamond, Severin, Kerr, Aluko, McDonald, Wright, Smith
