  1. Precisely, anyone remember Duncan Shearer's pens? Fucking garbage, but he was a lethal striker.
  2. I can appreciate those fears of the team plummeting down the league, but there is no sign of progress at all now. We're the steady eddie's of the league and that's a million times better than we were when JC came in and that is credit to the guy. But we must always be looking to better ourselves and I am really concerned that we're becoming stagnant. Perhaps Seve is indicative of this, he looks a shadow of his former self but will be picked regardless of how many listless performances he has. He doesn't seem too bothered about the fact he apparently runs in treacle most of the time and it is going to get to the point where the fans aren't bothered either. JC sees another top six placing as an achievement. That's sign enough that it's time for him to go. The split puts an artificial value on finishing in the top six and we should have moved away from the mentality of "Must get top 6 spot" seasons ago but apparently we haven't. We can't just trundle on like this. Last night was a disaster of epic proportions (the chance to get to a final without playing either of the OF or Hearts, Hibs or United along the way) and the worst thing is that we have previous of this under JC. That's not good enough. We're as well giving him til the end of the season and he can leave with Nicholl and Clark with our good wishes. I wouldn't be averse to see Jocky Scott returning.
  3. All very true CTS, and I am certainly not one looking for John Hughes as manager dear christ. And your points re JC are true, we know where we'll be with him, but eventually you have to say "what's the point?" There has to be progress, ye know? And in the last two seasons, is there any progress? I don't think there is. Tonight had a horrific anti climax-but terrible inevitability about it. Blame the players all you want, but the manager is the same against Queens Park, Queen of the South and now Dunfermline, not to mention the DU debacle last season. That is a fucking hideous set of results by anyone's standards. He clearly can't motivate them, so we should maybe motivate him out the door, no?
  4. So why pick him out then? I don't understand that. Jamie Smith got as shit service as Sone did, but did less, in my opinion, why not hammer him? He's a more experienced player who should deliver more regularly, no?
  5. Correct. And the spastics couldn't even find him with their passes. How else is the boy supposed to get the fucking ball if his team mates can't fucking find him with their "passes"? He's playing on the wing, he comes inside and doesn't get the ball he gets hammered for leaving his position, damned if he does and damned if he doesnt.
  6. Yeah and Im not going to be one of those spineless Aberdeen fans who blame a young boy for all their ills just cos they think he may be superman at one point.
  7. One moment in 120 mins? Come on man. JC. Honest to god, there's actually no competition. JJ can fuck off. Hellish manager.
  8. Bobo, I said earlier in this thread or the match thread (I can't remember which) that neither Smith nor Aluko received adequate service. Wingers have to have service, otherwise they're spectators, you must appreciate that? And who could Aluko have played through tonight? Because neither Mackie nor Maguire were willing to run beyond their markers. Not only were they not willing to make that run, they also weren't willing to switch runs either. They looked like amateurs up front basically and I wouldn't have been able to pass to them either with a golden foot and a golden ball. The two of them were fucking at it.
  9. You honestly think getting a new manager in now will give us a better chance of getting third?
  10. Look at every season he's had at Killie. Start well and fade away at Christmas. he's a joke of a manager living on his press mates. His "big job" was Hearts. He's a fanny. Fuck that.
  11. Yeah, again I agree with that. And I do hope if he has the self respect he'll turn round and walk out of his own accord.
  12. What the fuck are you smoking? His teams, especially at Killie, start fantastically well but hit christmas and die. I tipped them for relegation this season and most of my mates laughed at me at the start of the campaign. Now they know what I'm talking about. Killie haven't won a game THIS YEAR!
  13. That was fucking quick! Can you play right back.....?
  14. Tough thing for wingers though. Wingers are only as good as the service they get, moreso than strikers, and frankly the balls out to Smith and Aluko were fucking abysmal.
  15. Can someone merge Kowalski's "not such a good thread" into my "really good thread" 'Thank You and Goodbye" please? Thanks!
  16. Pretty much my thinking, OZ. I'm not really wanting to have a dig at the guy, but I just feel this defeat mirrors certain previous seasons. We have to kick on and it isn't going to happen under his management unfortunately.
  17. Would def have left Aluko on, thought that was a strange, strange move.
  18. aye, it's our fucking pitch though! we've been playing on it for the past 6 weeks!
  19. That's it for me, his team fails too many times when it should never fail. Simple as that. The "high expectations" he spoke about every second week clearly got to him and consequently got to the players. Whoever is at fault for that - manager or players - is irrelevant. They're not going to sack the players. Ergo, we need a change at management level. I'm not calling for the guy to be dunted now, but at the end of the season, even if we get third, he can get to fuck. I do thank him for the good stuff he's done for us, but his bollocks tactics, his bollocks signings (look at the bench tonight) his "high expectations" bollocks has come home to roost I reckon. Jimmy on TV now: Devastated, but not as fucking devastated as me, Jimmy, AGAIN. Familiar story.
  20. You're surely not as stupid as to believe what you just posted? Honestly, that is fantastically retarded, even by your standards.
  21. I've got £10 on Aluko at 15/2 (Paddy Power), but that is an alright price for Maguire, considering Wright was as low as 9/2 in some places.
  22. I would imagine that had he really wanted to invest further in the club, he would have been able to do so without too much hassle. A considerable amount of his funds will be tied into certain investments for a period of time, but not all of it. The bottom line is, as he sees it, he's invested enough for no financial gain. It's throwing good money after bad, basically.
