A question to the lads (and lassies) who were at the game yesterday, was there a lot of booing at Half Time and Full Time from our "supporters"? A thread on Mad certainly suggests there was, disappointing to read I have to say if true.

They never used to be. We used to play some of ours at Tynecastle or Dens, but I think it is the case now that they'll be at Hampden. I read on Mad that we'll be the Sunday game if we go through due to the fact our potential tie was second out the hat (i didn't see the draw so i don't know how accurate that is)

Biggest game of the season to date. Wish I was going, but even though I'm not, i'm already getting nervous about this. An early goal would be fucking delightful and open things up a bit for us I'd imagine. COME ON YE REDS!!

I'm going to have to hope it's on On Demand as I ended up on the phone and missed a chunk of it, by which point there was no point in watching the rest of it (I was watching on C4+1 as it was)

watching Red Riding at the moment, the first in 3 films on Ch4 based on novels by David Peace. So far, it's been alright. Although i'm more looking forward to the Damned United coming out in the cinema later this month.

But then (and I'm not complaining) the players will only have 2 weeks holiday or something cos of when the qualifiers start I believe. That wouldn't be ideal preparation for the season. Although in saying that, considering how much of a shambles our pre-seasons usually are and how slow starters we are, it may be better for us to have an early start!

I still think we need to sign players we were crying out for last summer: a right back, a back up keeper worthy of the name and a solid, experienced centre half. However, the calibre of those players or any other players JC decides we require is likely to be dictated by where and how we finish the season. If we qualify for Europe, we may well sign an extra player or two or spend more on wages. As far as actually finishing the season, I think third is gone. As SOTR says, if it was just one of United or Hearts I'd say we could make it but hoping for both to chuck it away and for us to go on a run is very unlikely at the best of times, but at this moment in time it's even more unlikely considering how our results are going and how wasteful we are in front of goal and how spasticated we are at the back. We've got to keep on keeping on, obviously, but I think the best we can hope for is fourth.
