  1. Yeah... should just be league goals, eh?
  2. Apologies Ajja, as I know you put a lot of effort into keeping this going... ... but i always presumed (probably wrongly) that the 30 goals were league goals only? (and sorry for being too lazy to go back and read the thread from the start!)
  3. Good one. Thought about putting Theo v McCoist, but thought it was too obvious... not that he doesn't deserve it, though.
  4. The reason I've put this in the AFC Section... what Dons player would you like to see fight someone from the opposition from "the olden days"? Personally, I'd like to see the following: The Undercard: Stewart McKimmie v Tosh McKinlay - McKimmie had a bit of a temper, McKinlay was a narky cunt who thought he was Maldini as soon as he moved to Celtic. Anyone who remembers how shit he was at Dundee and Hearts will also remember how much of a dirty cunt he was. Nothing changed when he moved to Celtic. Tag Team Event: Doug Rougvie & Willie Miller versus Willie Johnston & Andy Goram - The Willie Johnston thing is self explanatory, and I'd just like to see Goram get a good kicking. Lee Richardson v Iain Ferguson - Ferguson was the quintessential "hun bastard"... eyes too close together, could spit through his nose and kicked anything that moved. Rico was a lovely footballer, hated the huns and was a bit of a mentalist too. And the evening's main event: Peter Nicholas v Graeme Souness - Souness had famously broken Nicholas's leg in an international match a couple of years before... when Nicholas first played for The Dons v the Huns he thumped Souness twice in the first five minutes and Souness spent the rest of the afternoon running away from Peter Nick. But there would be nowhere for the self proclaimed hard man Souness to run in a boxing ring... Seconds Out! what are your choices?
  5. It's a little known fact about Billy Dodds that he actually lives under Bobo's bed. Bobo brings him out once a week so "Doddsy" can do his BBC predictions and do a bit for Radio Scotland and then it's back under the bed for the rest of the week. I'm in negotiations with Bobo to just keep him there all week. Of course they do, and he scored some vital pens for us, but the point i was making was that he was hardly prolific for us as some seem to think and was certainly not the danger man many believe he was. He's definitely not the messiah.
  6. Me. I counted them every season I was forced to watch the fucking spastic play for Aberdeen. It wasn't pretty.
  7. I'm not sure what your point is either. The fact those guys are shite don't make Dodds any better. Simple as that really.
  8. Well, GS, I never saw him as a good player at all, and that's when he left us or when he was with us. Billy Dodds joined us from struggling sides and we instantly struggled due to him being unable to finish two yard chances, mainly because he contorted his body into bizarre shapes for a footballer and compared to Shearer, Booth and Jess, the guy was and still is a fucking joker. If you show me a film of a guy hitting the ball comfortably, hitting it straight with a bit of power, volleying it without it dying after two seconds.... then that ball has not come from Billy Dodds. FaKt.
  9. I think you may have mis-understood me. They're both shite. Thanks.
  10. It's funny you should say that...
  11. Classic, eh? Look at it this way: 37 goals from open play in 171 matches. And to think Darren Mackie gets a hard time on this site....
  12. And his luck only just changed in the nick of time after that...
  13. Quality, i'll be there. Looking forward to it.
  14. For a Saturday 3pm kick off i reckon we will. I really want to go to this but can't cos I've got a stag do, pretty pissed off cos the stagger was supposed to be the day before and planned to go to this to round off a good weekend. But still, there'll be a cracking support there.
  15. ManUtd finished 3-0, Rooney getting the third. Paul Scholes was utterly sublime all night. Wonderful footballer. The huns won 4-0... Kris Boyd didn't score, so that's Sellick and Forfar he's failed to score against this season. Watty will definitely be trying to get rid in the summer... if Watty's still there of course...
  16. ManUtd 2-0 Fulham at half time. Scholes with a cracking 30 yard volley, Schwarzer made an utter cunt of it. Berbatov with the second.
  17. they absolutely murdered us in the first game, Snelders was outstanding (one save in particular touching it on to the post from point blank range - check YouTube). We were lucky to an extent to get them back to Pittodrie.
  18. Retard... from the guy with a huns username... I never said that about Seve. I want us to re-sign Seve anyway, but I said it became crucial if this was true. A wee tip, just read the words that are actually on the page.
  19. I do agree with the general point that the contracts we give to players has to be loaded with bonuses rather than just a substantial standard pay. However, things like Clean Sheet Bonuses can be very hard to get the individual players to agree to. Mainly because, as I'm sure you could imagine, the whole thing may go to pot because of an individual error by one of your colleagues... which would also lead to there being a slightly irritable atmosphere in the dressing room if Ricky Foster, for example, was continually costing us goals and therefore his mates a fair scoop of cash. Appearance money more than anything has to be worked into these contracts. Smith in particular needs it if he is to be offered a new deal. However, guys like Young, Mair and Maguire are unlikely to go for such a contract because they're so often on the bench.
  20. Airdrie because they're slightly weaker and beating them (tempting more fate) would be sweet as they're right wing cunts. Also, with Dunfermline, and JC going back there it kinda sets us up for a fall.
  21. Yeah, there was one at Pittodrie called off due to snow (I had gone up on the train, everywhere was fine but then we hit just outside Aberdeen and there was snow everywhere!) and there was a Scottish Cup game at McDermaid called off due to fog.
  22. Yeah, would also like to see Pawlett or Paton or Stewart given a start in this one. Possibly all three later in the game depending on how things are going.
  23. For fucks sake, I was passing on information a mate heard on Radio Scotland. I thought this was the place to discuss things connected with AFC, no? Reading the P&J article it seems it isn't as bad as the radio has made out, why the fucking attitude for simply asking a question about whether anyone has heard anything similar?
  24. This really is a small disaster for us, and I think it now becomes crucial that Severin signs another deal with us. We'll also need to see Considine step up, he started the season fairly well so hopefully he can get back into it. He'll be an important player for us.
