I can honestly see why people wouldn't want him, I'm not overly convinced he would be the "right man" if there is such a thing, the one thing that always sticks in my mind with him is last season he was doing a Setanta game at Pittodrie, and he said he was disappointed that JC was aiming for a top six finish. He was saying that Aberdeen should always aim for the top, and added to his comments about saying his Motherwell side were out the title race in Feb or march impressed me simply because he wasn't willing just to settle for a top six finish or settling to be in contention for third. None of that of course means he'd do a good job for us, but I think we have to have someone in charge who aims for the sky. I'm not knocking JC by saying that, but I do sometimes think having the OF here gives him a convenient and ready excuse for not pushing on. All that said, I wouldn't want JC to leave us at the minute at all.
