  1. I don't understand folk who want JC out. I can understand folk being underwhelmed by him, I can understand folk being frustrated by him, but wanting him out....? I don't get that. (I'm not saying you do, just continuing your theme, so to speak) The best thing JC has done recently was keeping a settled side. Seve has settled into the centre half role now that he basically knows he is a centre half for us these days, for example. But reports today of us going three at the back? That staggers me, completely leaves me astounded at his lack of faith in his own players to prove they are better than Falkirk's. The guys who were at the game will be able to say much more on it of course, but we really shouldn't be changing our shape to match up with Falkirk. To me, that's over-thinking the situation. I've also read that Stuart Duff was one of the better performers today but was still sacrificed. Added to the continual starting of Foster and Mackie, it is quite clear that JC has his favourites and not-so favourites but that has been the case throughout his time at Pittodrie and that frustrates me hugely. But, in typical fashion, who would bet against us getting a result at Tynecastle in a couple of weeks? It's the nature of things under JC it seems. Foster and Mackie with the goals, I'd imagine, too.
  2. By all accounts we were fucking horseshit.
  3. A mate of mine text me earlier today while the Man City game was on, he said "Man City must be the most frustrating side in the world". I replied saying "Try being an Aberdeen fan." Unfortunately, today has proven me right. Anyway, excuse me, I've got a wall I have to get back to headering...
  4. Think it's proof that they are tantamount to bullet proof as far as JC is concerned. However, let's hope they get their acts together this afternoon. COME ON YE REDS!!
  5. Jesus fuck. I know Aluko didn't have a great time last week, but how are Foster and Mackie still in that side? Beggars belief.
  6. Aye, just a tad ambitious. I was looking forward to the "I HAD MY STOMACH PUMPED AT HOSPITAL" thread.
  7. Yeah, it's mildly horrific. The worst thing is that the further you go down Sauchiehall St it pales in comparison to some of the sights down that way.
  8. No... it's called Sea now! Better off in Campus for that "clientele" now...
  9. Very true, but I do find there's more about on a Friday. Think a lot of it is to do with spangles going out straight from work and they can't handle their drink, so they're cunted by half six.
  10. I think Fraser comes across quite well (right enough, that's usually just the written press) and I think he's actually willing to fight our corner if the OF's 5% thing is anything to go by. Just hope his voice is heard at this and we get the benefit.
  11. I used to work for Equifax, (this was a few years ago now so may well have changed) and at that time CCJ was just the term used whether it was in Scotland or England. I know you'll be technically right, but it may just be the report has used CCJ instead of decrees.
  12. He was gash in the first, and started knocking it about and actually making - and winning - tackles in the second. I also noticed we were attacking towards the Merkland in the second half. Spooky.
  13. Which is why I said on his second half display. As soon as we had an extra man in midfield he improved greatly.
  14. I've voted for Kerr, mainly for his second half display.
  15. Hart was playing well, but mostly out of position, up until he got injured. Nicholson has mostly been used a sub recently. Markus Heikkinen is playing for either Austria or Rapid Vienna. And Brian O'Neill is now playing for Wolfsburg.
  16. I wouldn't say Duff was necessarily a replacement for Clark because I don't think he's the type of "all-action" player Clark was for us. I don't think anyone in the team has taken Clark's place, maybe that's because their roles are more defined than Clark's was.
  17. Absolutely, doesn't mean it's not bollocks though.
  18. You should have said that then. To be honest with you, that's sentimental bollocks. The criteria for getting a testimonial is ten years service, if he fits the criteria then he should get a testimonial regardless of those things you list (the one with Rab Douglas is tenuous at best, incidentally). Teddy Scott's was for 40 or 50 years service, so I think your flippancy is rather ill advised. I won't begrudge Mackie a testimonial, but let's not pretend he's the second coming of John Hewitt, eh? He's done some good things for us as you'd expect in ten years service and he's been an honest player and I thank him for that. He's also been fucking awful for some of that ten years service which exasperates me as to how he's still with us. Good luck to the guy if he gets a testimonial, maybe once his is done we can get round to sorting out Simmie's.
  19. Seriously? He's credited as being a major part in the development of McLeish, Miller, Hewitt, Simpson, Cooper and Black. He also had a major hand in the coaching of Brian Grant, David Robertson, Eoin Jess and Scott Booth.
  20. Was that not Mark Kennedy, former Liverpool player?
  21. LOL OUT LOUD!
  22. Apparently Blackburn want Sturridge, so reckon he'll be out our range should it come down to him moving on anywhere be it permanently or a loan spell.
