  1. Why would Mark McGhee be scouting for us?
  2. I'd keep Mair. When he's actually played in his proper position I think he can do a job. Wouldn't necessarily have him as first choice CB though. Derek Young can fucking beat it. Shouldn't have been signed in the first place. I like Jeff - i think there's a player in there somewhere, but don't see the point in holding on to him if he never gets a chance. The rest I'd probably keep, but Smith on a pay as you play contract. Mackie - I'm resigned to him being here more than actually wanting him here. Good for a few goals at least... and i do mean a few. Seve - like everyone else, I want to see him used in his proper position.
  3. If what he's saying about JDV is true, how come he's always subbed/dropped first? He's never given the guy a decent run in the side apart from the start of last season when he actually looked like a player.
  4. Think he means that if the useless fuckers get the ball to him, they're all too fat/lazy/thick to catch up with him when he starts running with it.
  5. Former Derby manager Billy Davies is in the frame to become Nottingham Forest's new boss if the board run out of patience with Colin Calderwood. (Daily Star) Sorry, couldn't resist
  6. Do you watch Pittodrie all day?
  7. That sums it up for me, particularly about the too many journeymen or squad players now 1st team regulars. I think that would be a small disaster. whatever he could bring in experience would be taken away by the fact he is way, way past his best. Christ, Celtic even resorted to playing Bobo Balde ahead of him...
  8. yeah, no doubt about that Al. Find him saying that Fergie is extremely lucky and getting rid of Keane, RVN and Beckham cos they're popular is just sour grapes. It's a bit like saying Harper was a lucky striker. And what big names at OT aren't popular with the fans? The main reason for me saying I've not got much time for him is this "I'm their top scorer and no one will ever beat me" attitude. A quick 140 goals from oor Darren and King Joey's record is looking shaky....
  9. was just about to post this, Al. Have to say, I've never been much of a fan of Harper the personality, and that article does little to change that view. Always think he comes across as being extremely far up his own considerable arse.
  10. has everyone got the link for the stream?
  11. Was down Byres Road earlier and saw some of the vermin on their way to the match... one hun dad and his hun son, hun dad reminding the juvenile hun to "put yer fuckin scarf on for fucks sake". The wee wank didn't want to, I'm not surprised... it was bright orange, with "ULSTER" written all the way down it. Lovely touch.
  12. Went into PJ Champs on the way home tonight but no dice I'm afraid. Only other alternative I've heard is the Clyde Valley on Dumbarton Road... however, the fact it's on Dumbarton Road and that it was also a hun who told me of it, it's probably a bit of a hun shop. Reckon i'll stick with Footy Doctor.
  13. You ask where you've bummed him up and then proceed to do just that. Did Ebbe ever finish third? Did Ebbe ever finish bottom of the league?
  14. why are you so fucking spasticated to continually bum up Ebbe and so fucking small minded to not even give the team and JC credit where it is due? You're just a miserable cunt, if we won the league you'd still be moaning, can't take anything you say seriously at all.
  15. Have a bit of respect for yourself and the history of your club? That was a fucking embarrassment that day and don't try and dress it up in anything other than that.
  16. should be on footy doctor, but i reckon that PJ Champs on Byres Road may be showing it. Will go past it either tonight or tomorrow and will check and let you know.
  17. There was also a time towards the end when Commons I think was going down the wing and looking to cross... where was our Lee? strolling towards the box on the other wing. He has to start busting a gut to get into the penalty box quicker.
  18. You could also argue that Dodds had far better players around him than Mackie has had during his time in the first team. I've said on here in the past that I just kind of accept now that Mackie is always going to be with us and where I used to really get myself frustrated with him I now attempt to let it wash over me. His work rate is admirable, but then, I spoke to an ex coach of ours who was a far, far better striker in his day than Mackie is (take a guess who it is ). He said Mackie's attitude was appalling in training, he wouldn't listen to anyone trying to help him and thought he knew it all. He said "if you think he's bad on Saturdays, you should see him in training. He has the ability, but he isn't interested in being told how to use it." Extremely sad and frustrating if accurate.
  19. Different shades of shite. As I've said before, Dodds would average 16 a season, generally speaking 6-8 would be pens. So from open play he's about the same as Mackie i.e. shite.
  20. Fair enough, I wasn't saying anything either way, just that as a matter of fact he doesn't do that.
  21. He doesn't criticise individual players after matches though.
  22. a midfield consisting of Young, Foster and Kerr is asking to be out-muscled. Also offers very little creativity. In fact, think about it, it's just fucking depressing.
