  1. surely no one has ever enjoyed a Scotland game?
  2. Don't really think that anyone could say for certain re Harper or Windass. The fact Windass has now cut the drinking down dramatically, he looks a lot fitter now than he did with us. any amount of sustained drinking throughout the season isn't going to help their reactions and sharpness so maybe not being in liquid on Wednesday evening would help you trap a ball, then again, if they're professional footballers and they can't trap a ball, that extra time in training you speak of should perhaps be utilised.
  3. The fact their ability is clearing lacking from that of the players in other leagues should surely mean that anything that improves fitness should be adhered to more? But, I do agree with you that as long as it doesn't effect their jobs, then I don't really care what they do.
  4. My god. Thanks for reminding me!
  5. he really could have just paraphrased himself and said: "He's crap."
  6. That doesn't mean he's in Spain though. He could be in Greece, Portugal, Egypt.... No, in all seriousness, he said in an interview at the start of the week he's cancelled his holiday plans for this break.
  7. JC said in an interview that he isn't going on holiday during this break.
  8. When his competition included David Lilley, Thomas Solberg and Derek Whyte that's not much to write home about, eh?
  9. Jamie McAllister is in the Guiness Book of Records as being the only pro footballer ever to attempt a back heel in every professional match he's played in.
  10. Nothing like a bit of hysteria on a Friday afternoon, eh?
  11. No thanks!* *i know these aren't necessarily your shouts FS.
  12. Well, I voted for Calderwood only. But, the reason for doing that is that if this continues - and I'm presuming that the original question was set out with this in mind - then it has to change and that's the change I'd want to happen. How and ever, I have stated that Calderwood should be given time to sort it out, but I've seen a lot of folk say "Til Christmas", not sure I'm willing to give him as much time as that.
  13. Yeah, and he also pushed heavily for shirt sponsors but Dick Donald was against it. Then, not even two years after Anderson passed away we had shirt sponsors... who'd have thought it? Think it's fair to say that chris Anderson was the visionary, Dick Donald was the conservative, prudent, traditionalist. A good balance perhaps, but things could have been very different had we had shirt sponsorship earlier.
  14. Absolutely. But in my opinion, we're going to struggle with that group of players. Hope I'm wrong though.
  15. Maybe, that doesn't mean this one will go on to achieve what they did though.
  16. The current squad would suggest we won't be repeating the "success" of the last two seasons.
  17. Dry your eyes, petal. All very, very fair points. Would you trust the manager to spend any available money adequately though?
  18. Already said that i'm willing to give him a bit of time, but the realist/pessimist in me believes that we're only one block away from being back at square one already, a huge reason for that is the money he's spent in the transfer market/wages. The standard of player at Pittodrie is piss poor.
  19. Ok then, we'll just stick with JC forever then? And accept mediocrity forever as well? MAYBE it is as far the club can go, but what the fuck is wrong with testing that out and actually trying to better ourselves?
  20. Did they? I must have a mental block cos I can't recall this. Who was it for?
