  1. Totally appreciate that, CS. Used to do it myself, just found it drove me up the wall! The article from Michael Grant (the See You Jimmy one, where it said he was a dead man walking) I read in the paper at the time, and it was an opinion piece and I think should be taken as such. However, I did have the misfortune of reading Keevins' "article" on JC and that was awful, and reminded me of why i stopped reading guff like that.
  2. How is it ignorant if they're "informing" us of lies? I'll make my own mind up on MY club, thanks. Because it's not as newsworthy as it is when it's Aberdeen. You can continue to peddle this "weegie press" stuff all you like, the fact is we're a bigger club than those two and therefore more newsworthy. We're the only club outside the OF never to have been relegated. And I hate to say it, but you can say we're unfairly subjected to this level of negativity, but the fact remains, we're bottom of the league. Not many teams get a positive press when they're down there.
  3. Or perhaps just not read the papers? Who gives a fuck what the tabloid press thinks or writes? I don't. I never read them, so it doesn't effect me. If other people want to read them and allow it to sway their mind, then that's their problem.
  4. Then why sign him? He can't moan about these things if he's brought it on himself. I can understand what you're saying, but nearly every excuse or reason comes back to his poor signings or poor tactics. And sad to say, but Mulgrew is the most likely source of goals for us at the moment, be that through him directly or through him setting them up.
  5. This individual errors thing... fair enough, these things happen and have to be accepted, but to happen a couple of times every week and actually costing us goals every week is coming the cunt. They're his players, most of whom he's signed, who are regularly making "individual errors". He's signed a few utterly pish goalkeepers, the best of which seems to lose his bottle after a half eaten hamburger is thrown at him, he's signed defenders of complete incompetence and continues to play defenders of the same level, so what does he expect? I agree that he deserves a bit of time, but he should stop the bullshit excuses. Individual errors are part of the team's general malaise. When the whole team plays well, these individual errors become less frequent and less crucial.
  6. I think it is "plumb", according to online dictionary it is anyway(not sure accurate that is, right enough).
  7. Exactly. Matters not a jot what he did with them, and if he thinks that getting to cup finals with DAFC in anyway means that he should be given more time with us then he's much mistaken.
  8. But the ref doesn't see it as an accidental collision, or if he did he still deems that he's unfairly impeded the other player. Whether Bamba meant to bring him down or not isn't really important. The fact is he did bring him down and it was surely denying a clear goalscoring opportunity.
  9. Kinda ties in with Lee Millers record.
  10. I kinda agree, I wouldn't sack JC just now. Although why you'd bother that JC got another gig quite quickly is beyond me. However, why do we continue to have poor starts under Calderwood? It's not ok to continue to say "it's ok, we always start slowly", at some point it becomes "not ok", at some point it will ruin our season. This may be that time. Conversely, it may not. But why do we continually make it tough for ourselves when it's already fucking tough as it is? Going to Inverness, Hamilton, Tannadice and Easter Road, to try to recover those points is going to be extremely hard. Not beyond us, by any means, but at the moment we're struggling to score goals and the "star" striker we signed in the summer is seldom thought highly enough of to make an appearance from the bench when we need it. Things don't look good, but I'm willing to give it time, for the moment. But, the excuses of "but we played well" and "new players have to settle in" are quickly fading. This can not continue indefinitely, surely everyone realises this? And if it does continue, surely there's only one outcome?
  11. It became that for me years ago. And when you're in that position, thinking that spending time having a laugh with your mates is costing you £100 a time (on average) you soon realise how crap the whole thing is if you're no longer enjoying the focal point of the day.
  12. Fair weather fan then? I understand your point perfectly well, I'd still say that it was a fairly big game for us today, expected a bit more I have to say.
  13. I would say that is a poor crowd for a game against one of the bigger clubs in the league.
  14. Agree in that I don't want him sacked just now, he deserves the chance to turn things around as it were and to be honest I actually think we will go on a bit of a run starting with the Hibs game on Saturday as that seems to be the way things have generally gone in previous seasons with JC. But, if he doesn't turn it around, then there has to be change. You can't not sack him in case the next guy isn't any better. At some point you have to gamble on making a change that will improve our lot.
  15. Sounds familiar, eh? At least though, he knows when to have a day off. Know what I'm saying?
  16. I think most people can appreciate that Miller brings other things rather than goalscoring to us when he's on his game, but even still, as a forward, he should be finding the net more often. Particularly when he has that build, you'd think he'd get more with his head, but that also throws up the question of half decent supply etc.
  17. we'll sack the fucking lot of them then, eh?
  18. Weird. I was fucking suicidal for most of his reign.
  19. absolutely. Is the manager not part of the overall team, then?
  20. So the players should take the flak when they don't do well, and conversely take the credit when they succeed? So essentially, there are no good or bad managers?
  21. Ok, so the team we sent out to play Queen of the South, player for player, was weaker than the opposition? You're tripping if you don't think that defeat was down to those players and that management team. Milne (well, the club) also paid for guys like Jackie McNamara and Barry Nicholson and Scott Severin and Lee Miller who are/were on handsome wages, far, far more than the Queen of the South players that day. You can not seriously suggest that side we fielded failed because of Stewart Milne. There was more than enough "quality" to win that game. Also, Calderwood decided not to use a big enough part of his budget to keep Hart who only wanted parity with Jamie Smith, Lee Miller and Scott Severin. So that is at least in part, down to the manager as well as Milne as JC is the one who decides how the budget is spent. Chris Clark wanted to leave the city of Aberdeen because of personal problems, and again, if you honestly think that a club who is so many millions in debt is going to turn down an offer of £1m for a player then again, you are tripping.
  22. Neither of which were down to Stewart Milne, I think you'll find.
  23. Only repeating what i read. didn't say i believed it.
  24. There are rumours on another site that JC has 3 games to "turn things around" and that Billy Davies has been sounded out about the job.
  25. He was breathing out his arse after 20 minutes at Rugby Park on Wednesday. He did play well when moved into midfield that night though.
