  1. Cunt of a manager too. One of the happiest days of supporting the Dons was when he fucked off.
  2. Mainly because Miller doesn't have one.
  3. Who said anything about the 80's?
  4. apparently it would be.
  5. Apathy is the word to sum up Aberdeen fans. We've had too many occasions of protesting outside the main stand, and now people have just accepted that things won't change - certainly not in the near future.
  6. Then it's all good, isn't it?
  7. Same pish every fucking transfer window with this eejit: "I've got friends in the English Premiership who will do me a few favours etc etc", yeah, cos God forbid you ever get up off your arse and actually work to get these players in yourself. How does he not bore himself with this guff?
  8. No, basically. You can blame it on a lack of hunger, imagination, talent, leadership but not that Pittodrie isn't full. If it came down to that we'd never win a game away from home.
  9. and what if they don't? what happens then? what excuses will be used? After a poor performance and result, by all means make changes to the side, but I really hope we don't have another season of having 387 different centre half pairings.
  10. that made me laugh. Just wish it was another team he was talking about.
  11. Chris Clark could pass a ball? Good post Sweetchuck, and can't really disagree with any of your points. I think the most telling thing is that as you point out the players we have are generally better than most of the other sides in our league. A fair few of them of course are pretty grim, but the crux of it is that JC should be putting a side out there that performs a hell of a lot better than it generally does. His lack of responsibility on this front is frankly astonishing, and I think more fans would afford him more time if he occassionally took responsibility. Hate to say it, but I fear for us this season, and the worst thing is we can't say the writing hasn't been on the wall.
  12. Thought he was reeking last season.
  13. Was speaking to a mate last night about the not replacing Anderson and Hart, and we both said that there seems to be a sort of lazy attitude about looking for replacements. The whole "Foster at right back" thing just smacked of JC saying "ach, he'll do" when it became apparent that the temporary replacement for Hart wasn't going to turn into a permanent one. The same can be said of sticking Considine in every week with Diamond after Russell left, or moving Severin back to centre half. And, JC says on a regular basis that he's had to contend with losing his best players - Heikkinen, McNaughton, Anderson, Hart - but, surely the fact that we even got Heikkinen in the first place shows that players of the desired quality are out there if you are willing to do a fair bit of digging? I may be wrong, but a lot of the time it just seems that he really can't be fucked with scouring Europe for a real find. A theory surely borne out by how often he goes back to previous targets?
  14. Camels back broken, TF?
  15. I expect more of the whole team (obviously i wasn't at the game, but we shouldn't be losing at home. And we certainly shouldn't be losing at home to ICT). I've done it myself, berated players because I was so angry - I was David Preece's nemesis for a couple of years - but, why the mock outrage when the guy offers something back?
  16. Mini, I don't 100% disagree with you, but sometimes, players just have off days and they just have to be accepted and as such fans just have to try to show a bit of patience and restraint. You may say Smith shouldn't react, but he's one of our better players over the course of the season and I'm sure he was just as frustrated as anyone in the ground with his performance.
  17. No need to be so defensive...i'm sure you've got more than enough money to chuck into the furnace to keep it going....
  18. yeah, but i'd asked for that, i didn't ask for us to lose today! The Hat is in meltdown. Apparently ICT "outschooled" us today, whatever that means.
  19. I really do wonder why I bother looking forward to the new season. The more things change, the more they stay the same as someone once said. (surely a Dons supporter who coined that one) After years of praying for an "easy" opening fixture, we get one and even fuck that up too.
  20. I'm on Stand Free chat and there are ex-pats there saying that they're having the same problems, Mentor. You're not missing much, mate, believe me.
  21. makes a change! [quote author= link=topic=5493.msg78679#msg78679 date=1218196634] Actually, I remember, it was the thread where Stoney said, I can't remember the exact percentage, that a vast majority of Aberdeen fans would have him in their Aberdeen 11 from the past 15/20 years. Or something like that. I just remember it was daft as f*ck and I giggled my arse off reading it. 95% of Dons fans would pick him ahead of any of the other players he listed with his "STAT ATTACK!" Which also just goes to show that 92% of all stats are made up on the spot.
  22. Hate using the cliche, but there are no "gimmies" as you put it, as Gretna away proved last season. Even if we do have a good start to the season, you'll no doubt still bitch like fuck if we do have a poor dec/jan after saying we could afford to.
  23. Yeah, and i'm regretting mentioning my huge disliking of the guy last night.
  24. Which only a fraction of were for Aberdeen.
