I watched the game on MUTV and their commentators thought our goal should have stood. Any angle they showed it at though was inconclusive. Fair play to MUTV as well, 90% of the build up was about our 1983 side which was good to see and they were very complimentary about our team and our supporters.

Pretty much my feelings when I saw that Touzani was going as well as all the rest that left. losing Russell the season before for a hefty fee is fair enough, but then letting your next best player go for buttons when in reality something could have been done to keep him is incredibly short sighted and dare I say it, it ultimately cost us in the long run last season.

he's hardly had any rest though. Played all last summer and the previous one, and has been playing WC Qualifiers this summer already. No surprise he's not there. Thought Danny Welbeck would have been a certain starter, maybe injured though. Also half expected Manucho to be playing, but maybe some problem with work permits etc.

I don't think players in League 1 & 2 down there would see coming to Scotland as a step down even if the fans do.

Proudlock at one point had a really good scoring record, think that was at Wolves. I'm not saying that he's a really good player or anything, but if we are going for Tommy Wright then I think we have to give the guy a chance. I'm sure not many of us would have seen him play - if any at all - and he's at least a bit different in the sense he hasn't played for DAFC or the Jutes or in Holland. He's a young guy too,17 in 40-odd games isn't an awful record by any means.

Iain Holloway is in the frame for the job now! He'd be a disaster I reckon.

God, he was atrocious. That was Alex Miller, eh? Remember seeing him at Ibrox and he ran the ball out of play about 3 times when no one was near him and he seemed in complete control of the ball. At least both Kristensen and Ingolfson only played a handful of games.
