  1. Absolutely agree with all this. If you even look at the big Premiership sides - ManU, Arsenal in particular - and as much as they may rotate certain aspects of the side, it is NEVER the defence. That should have been sorted pre-season when we knew Anderson was leaving. It's just basic football sense.
  2. Professional is a term I'd use very loosely to many currently taking a wage from AFC.
  3. An exodus is more than one player. I am talking about one single player.
  4. That may be the case. But continually playing players out of position and continually playing to negative tactics isn't going to help even if they weren't feeling that way is it? And you really shouldn't give JC another excuse as to why none of this is his fault.
  5. Likewise for me. It is not stretching it to say that I'm still devastated at what I witnessed last night. I know we have lost better players than him in the past, but I don't think Aberdeen has ever missed a player as much as we miss Russell Anderson now. It's Calderwood's job to make sure that we cope with that loss. He hasn't done it. Our team has no soul.
  6. I have no idea what the replies to your post say. But I am going to say that I think it is unfair rating any player tonight because the tactics set out by the "manager" were so utterly abysmal that I now have to say that good footballers are being compromised. I honestly felt sorry for Nicholson, Walker and Diamond tonight. IF Nicholson has any sense, he'd leave us immediately, he was the only guy busting a gut to do something for us and yet was one of the first for JC's fury on the touchline. Very, very sad.
  7. I really, really hate to say this after such a short juncture again, but that is it for me. That was utterly soul destroying. One man up front, in a one legged semi final. I am disgusted, to be honest. At one point tonight Severin screamed at Nicholson for not picking someone up in his right midfield role, Nicholson had to tell Severin that he wasn't playing right midfield. That was after ten minutes. And yet Calderwood stands on the touchline with his hands on his hips after two minutes of the game as if the players are just automatically disobeying him. Not on I'm afraid. That was utterly shocking tonight. I'll have a shit load in the morning/if i make it into work, but i'm going to bed now. Totally and utterly gutted. 'night dandies.
  8. Think he got 10 tickets from him, by the time he had returned it turned out he actually supplied tickets for everyone on his flight. And not an arrest was made. Sellick fans are GRATE!
  9. Know what you mean. When Hartson was at Celtic he lived next door to a mate of mine. The day he moved in he chapped my mate's door to introduce himself but that was actually just a pretense so he could get a chinese take away menu off him. The next day he chapped the door again, this time asking if he had a menu for a place that sold and delivered "pizzas, quarter pounders, stuff like that..." hardly living the life of a professional athlete! But, he scored the goals for Celtic. Was also a really decent guy by all accounts, gave my mate a load of tickets for the UEFA Cup Final against Porto.
  10. Stop. Please just stop.
  11. Although he would not have been regarded as a youth at the time, Darren Mackie?
  12. Have to say Ajja, if we could have got hartson it would have been a real coup for us. think he would have done a job for us and certainly shows a bit more imagination in the transfer market - as does the signing of Maybury, so credit to JC for that one.
  13. Surely that also means Hibs are fucked?
  14. Good move I reckon. Hated him when he was at Hearts but he's a good player with a bit of a nasty streak. Something we've been missing for a long time.
  15. Duff and Touzani are completely different styles. Touzani's good. Duff isn't.
  16. weird one, he scored for them the other night.
  17. he's been in talks with Swansea all week.
  18. Extra "o" in there Jimmy, come on. Get yourself together, come on, make it happen....
  19. Oh my good god. As I have said, it is down to the club, in this case Brechin, not the SFA. The clubs know the rules. Too many players moving at this time of year for the SFA to have a proper handle on it. IF you think otherwise, put it in a spreadsheet for me, and if possible, an Access file and send it on to Mr B Biscuit, Suite 4, Youthinkigiveafuck Street, Thanksforthat, G2 T6A
  20. It's been known since monday they knew that. It's down to Brechin to play the players eligible in the Brechin side, not Hamilton. Simple, really.
  21. And you really think that any SFA delegate or Referee would be able to say "Michael Paton? He plays for the dons and signed for Brechin after the date of the first game!" as soon as he sees that name? Get a grip eh?
  22. Hydrasun for the training tops. JVC for the strips. If Calderwood's middle name is Victor it'll boost his ego no end...
  23. It's a relief to us all.
  24. When Lapira said that the reserve game he watched (the one ICT whipped us) was of a higher standard than he was used to playing in, it sounded the alarm bells.
