  1. Another example of Calderwood being like a dog with a bone. Gets an idea into his head that he wants to sign someone and that's it. Stays there forever, or possibly longer. God forbid he'd look elsewhere.
  2. He didn't take the penalty.
  3. Martin LOL has been linked with the managers job.
  4. His brother plays for Hearts, eh?
  5. Out the cup at first hurdle! LOL! ROLF etc etc and so on and so forth
  6. still half an hour to go too and could see the Ben Hurs scoring more
  7. Allan Preston just said the keeper has injured his "big shoulder". Do people have different sized shoulders?
  8. Said they were that bad it was making his eyes bleed!
  9. Opposite for me, refuses to work in Firefox, but ok in IE.
  10. And by a similar token, if JDV doesn't get a game tonight then you've got to ask why the fuck was he signed in the first place? From what I've seen of him I'd have him playing for us most weeks, perhaps not always away from home but definately at Pittodrie where we should be on the front foot most of the time. I know he lacks pace, but he looks as though he has a football brain and the talent to go with this. He knows how to keep possession and he is always looking for the ball. Criminally, we don't have anyone else like him. Desperate Dan is still with us I believe...that flushing sound you hear is his career going down the toilet.
  11. Radical!
  12. Maybe Severin at centre half with Diamond, Smith moving into centre midfield? Hope De Visscher does start though. Scott Wilson is a hideous player. It's at times like this I'm thankful we're skint.
  13. Apologies. I am in no way part of the "Jimmy GTF" brigade, and nor do I want this to turn into a "Jimmy GTF" debate, it's just this part of his management however really annoys me and I'd like to see him change this.
  14. Did i say that? Perhaps someone - Willie Miller? - should point out that his tactics are fucking shite, because by all accounts they were.
  15. Aye, sort of "I have to take SOME responsibility... but it was all their fault!" I have no doubt that at times he has a point, and that the players are not doing what they are asked to do. But, for it to happen so fucking often then it surely points to bad management as well as lazy/incompetent players?
  16. The only one that springs to mind is the 5-0 hammering by the huns in his first season. There may well be others but I can't really remember any. Either way, I think he's well out of order on this occassion.
  17. Or the people who spend their money watching his side, who Calderwood has told on more than one occassion that they are wrong. Again, it comes down to Calderwood not taking responsibility for anything that goes wrong.
  18. Calderwood is also on a massive wage and if he's going to take the credit for all the good times, he has to take the flak for all the bad times too.
  19. It's weird that, what with Lovell not being a target man. Perhaps, and this just a suggestion, the tactics may have contributed to things just a tad. That really is outstanding management there, isn't it? If anyone was interested why would they be now after those comments? And Lovell is clearly a guy who needs a hug and be told he's a good player rather than being criticised privately never mind publicly, so if we need to use him his confidence is going to be even lower than it has been recently.
  20. As Shabba says, if he said that the players were dwelling on it you'd moan about that too. There isn't any point in dwelling on it, the game's gone and we have to move on with a run of 3 very important matches that really could shape the rest of our season, and the players are obviously wanting to concentrate on these games. Maybe we should give them our support? Just a thought...
  21. I'd take Clark ahead of him! Fucking garbage.
  22. I won't be there (and also looking increasingly likely that won't be able to make the home leg either) due to other commitments - holidays already arranged (one at new year, one in feb and one in april) so money is a bit tight taking care of them and work would not have been happy either. I wasn't over for the Atletico game either, I should add, so my hysteria levels have remained the same
  23. I'm not sure he could have done a job for us "in his day".
  24. If he wasn't a utility player before, he will be now! Big Eared Jute Tink said of Chris Clark: If you're desperate to achieve something in the game why the fuck would you go from Aberdeen (in last 32 of UEFA Cup v one of the biggest clubs in the world, challenging for third in the league, in semi finals of one cup and still in the other cup) to Plymouth (if anyone knows what they can achieve, let me know and I'll type it in here. Thanks)
  25. ...as he's "not done enough." according to the BBC Gossip column. I like Lovell, was delighted when he signed but it's never really happened for him. Do you think he can salvage his Dons career?
