Oldham. Hardly a like for like comparison there, however Nellie.

It's not a massive issue, people are just giving their opinions ffs sake, you know, on a football forum. Maybe you should make a list of rules of what we're allowed to talk about in case some issues "harm our season"...

He shouldn't be doing it. If he wants to watch it, it was on TV. He could have sat in his house and watched it. They are our direct rivals, why should any of our lads be showing any public support of them? In years gone past, would a Celtic player have gone to watch the huns cos he was a boyhood hun? We'd all perceive that as being unacceptable would we not? So what's the difference here? There is only one difference with McGinn and Diamond here. McGinn is a good player, that's why people are saying it's ok. We're too frightened of losing him should we take a harder line. Someone should be having a word with him and remind him of the situation the club finds itself in right at this minute.

I think they're just saving themselves further grief. This guy offers this amount on the back of Beano telling him to get involved. If the huns are interested they'd need to disclose the entire sorry story of their existence to him at which point he'll about-turn and get the fuck out of there. Do they really want that sort of story? Build up the hopes of the fans again to then pull the carpet from under them once more? It'd also likely mean once he had walked away, they'd have to go cap in hand to Ashley, AN Other while their position had been further weakened. -
I would like to see us sign him, don't get me wrong but I think there's some OTT praise. He has been woeful in front of goal, and for a forward that is quite a big issue.

Not sure if it came across on TV on Sunday, but he showed a fair bit of petulance on more than one occasion... if the ball wasn't played to his feet he had no intention in moving for it. Sometimes the ball was little more than two yards from him but he refused to close down the 'Well defender, and instead berated his team mates - more often than not, Rooney - for not playing the ball right to his feet. Did a lot of good stuff on Sunday too - his ball through for the first for example was a fine piece of play, but I'm not buying into this hype about him. Should have scored two on Sunday, but again fluffed his lines. He can not keep on missing these chances without consequence, simple as that.

Bit harsh on them when we couldn't do the job ourselves with Celtic down to ten men.

They've also announced they've had to take a £500,000 loan from one of the Easdales and is to be used as working capital. They're on the brink alright. -
For someone who plays up front, his goal record is poor. He does link up well with others, but, he can not continue to miss the chances he does without consequence, otherwise someone like Shankland is going to become very disgruntled. To be honest, DG never looks like he's going to score. There will also be times where tactics dictate he shouldn't start. Rooney getting shunted wide to accomodate DG is not a solution. Play Rooney through the middle and bench DG, that's the solution imo. I'd also like to see Rooney up front with McGinn at some point; I think we'd get more goals than we are at present.

Been disappointed at how poor he is in front of goal but his link up play and hold up play is good. Probably worth another year but not a certain starter, for me.

The big problem these days is that loads of folk are craving to be offended by something, so they can show what a sympathetic person they are. On the flip side of that, there are those who are eager to offend, because....well, I don't know why, probably something missing in their lives. More often that not it's just common decency which has been breached. People who are normally decent people, want to say something outlandish, want to be noticed. The more attention we give them, the more it encourages others to do the same. Ignore them and they'll get back into their box eventually.

I think Shinnie is the only left back in the world though, Al...
-
People trying too hard to look "cool". The "look at me" attitude that is prevalent in so many these days. God forbid these cretins were ever affected directly by something similar.
-
If they weren't of that mind, do you honestly think they're good enough to sustain it over a season? Are Aberdeen Celtic or Rangers minded, because going by your logic that's why we haven't won the league? Look at the times Celtic were regularly spanking us by 6 or 7... was this because we wanted them to win the league or just because we were utter ding at the time? I know which one I'm going for.
-
But this is the point...as long as people long for the big teams to be back in the league purely on the basis of their size, they are automatically saying that smaller teams have no place there because you can't have them back in without losing smaller teams. The league doesn't have a sponsor...is this really a massive issue? Our league couldn't demand a massive amount of cash anyway. It's on TV, that's probably of more importance now than a league sponsor. I see the sponsorship issue simply as another stick to beat the "powers that be" with.
-
Both of whom were easily the worst teams in the league last season and deserve to be where they are. Good supports etc shouldn't come into it - Hamilton for example, have a terrible support, but deserve to be in the league and have been a great addition this year. For all this talk of "the league needs X, Y and Z in it", people are essentially saying "A, B and C don't deserve to be there due to their paltry support". Sorry, but when did this all stop being about sport? The number of fans these days who care more about their club's balance sheet than the performances on the pitch is absolutely staggering.

Some hun colleagues seem to think this is the end of a 12 month notice period and therefore, was always going to happen. Not sure about that one though. -

wants to get the process started before the club is no more, more like. -
SPOTY should go to McIlroy without a doubt.
-
Yes i think they do, because a lot of folk only see the guy on the pitch. I'd also have said he was pretty unstoppable in his last few seasons at United. Not quite at the level he reached at Real but he was clearly one of the best in the world while he was at United.

Neither have done it at a World Cup and that is disappointing. Messi winning player of the tournament was an utter sham, even he looked embarrassed by it - there were probably about 7 players in the Germany team alone who were more deserving. Both brilliant players, Ronaldo is the more all round player, but Messi is better at what he specialises in. I'd say they're about even. If Ronaldo wasn't such a preening, arrogant, self loving tit of a man, more people would say he was better, but for some reason people bring these things into it when talking about football ability alone.

I'd like to think we'd have shown far more humility from the outset of the situation. Something they haven't done from top to bottom of that wretched club. Even Dave King, the crook, said that whatever happened to the huns, they'd all - supporters, board, management, players - have to show a greater degree of humility this time round. But in their true spirit, they've done nothing of the sort and instead acted as they always have; with a sickening belief of entitlement as they try to bully and railroad their way around Scottish football, giving not a second thought to the integrity of the game or to the people and companies they owe substantial amounts of cash to. -

They choose to support them. They celebrated all the vicotories and lauded all the star players they were paying on the never-ever. They claim to be "Loyal", they claim they don't do walking away. You're right though, can't blame them, but they reap what they sow. I hope they cry themselves to sleep. -

According to an "insider" in one of the papers today, the figure was precisely 15,902. Once it hits those figures, it's very hard to see it recovering - it's not as if they're not winning, generally, it's just going to be more of the same as far as this season goes - turgid victories over the likes of Cowdenbeath, Livi and Raith Rovers, striving for a point against Alloa and keeping the score respectable against Hertz and HIVS. I reckon we'll see a sub 10,000 crowd by February. They're a "loyal" bunch alright. -

There are claims from people supposedly "in the know" that Ibrox has suffered so much wear and tear it would cost between £18m and £22m to carry out all the repairs required. There is no way this will be a priority, so the impending costs of that will spiral. Derek Llambias (Ashley's right hand man I think) carried out due diligence on the huns, supposedly told Ashley to stay away from it, total basket case of a club but Ashley still went in. Can only be for a quick buck, he won't be in it for the long haul, particularly now that the accounts suggest another share issue is in the offing. Further dillution of existing shares...there is no future for them as far as I can see; fans now staying away in droves, most of whom did not buy season tickets so that money has not been banked - the fans great plan of paying at the gate as it will guarantee the club more money in the long term backfiring spectacularly as they're not as "Loyal" as they'd like to think. Players will be asked to take a pay cut for December's wages. Maybe they'll take 6 months to then only agree to a deferrment of wages, just like their leader Salary McCoist...
