  1. Because of one save all is forgiven? Wise up. He makes the same mistakes consistently; I don't want him dropped because of one game as I'm sure you can work out for yourself. He's not good enough and never has been.
  2. Good save, aye. Are you choosing to ignore him costing us a goal which gave them the momentum?
  3. Absolutely not. Crap at the goal (as were his defenders), his attempt at coming for a cross by starjumping in front of their attacker at the back post when he could have claimed the ball before it had even got to him was just awful.
  4. Great performance and result. I'm not convinced Groningen are as good a team as a lot of people are making out - they are fairly pedestrian, no real flair or cutting edge, but credit to our lads for doing the job so well. Langfield though... seriously brutal. We can't go on with this clown in goals.
  5. Groningen were far from impressive at Pittodrie. McInnes's conservatism let them off the hook. I wouldn't say they're a better side than us.
  6. Considine will be even slower with that on...
  7. Not convinced this is a good move for either party. Hope it works out of course but his attitude isn't great, didn't look fit last season and was very easy to play against.
  8. They were utterly ding. I don't think they got into our box. They kicked McGinn and Pawlett all over the place and Pawlett went off with an injury due to the kicking they were giving him. Was lovely being at Pittodrie in the warm evening sun, but I'd make a kind request that Clangers never wears that kit again; looked like the huns strip from circa 2005.
  9. For the Glasgow based guys - Red Stars are running a bus to this and have seats available. if you're interested please email clubfutbolaberdeen@gmail.com. Will also look to be running a bus for the Groningen home leg should we get through. Bus on Thursday is leaving North Hanover St at 3.30pm, pick ups in Cumbernauld and Stirling/Dunblane. Cheers.
  10. Nice one, I currently coach a kids team and we're about to go to 11s. We've played a few friendlies to get the boys used to it but the jump is too much - full size goals and pitches just isn't conducive to "fun" and there should be that middle ground, even if it was just for one or two seasons.
  11. Considine was horrendous at times this season at left back. Not helped by the fact that he appears to be wearing concrete boots these days. Wouldn't have him there ever again and Robertson... no. It's not going to happen for him at left back.
  12. Jute United at home on the opening day of the new season
  13. Was that not just because Hampden was being re-done? e.g 97 & 98 Scottish Cup Finals were held at Sellick Park and Ibronx.
  14. Wonder what the Rovers have done to deserve that. Utter bellend of a man.
  15. We have enquired about Declan Gallagher of Dundee, centre half. Not sure how serious it is, we've only spoken to the agent but the player has fallen out with Hartley due to Hartley being a "fucking nutcase". Other teams are interested but he's very interested in coming to us, supposedly.
  16. Seems strange...why go for Larsson (very mediocre managerial record) and then Keane (very mediocre managerial record) knowing the only reason you want them is to put bums on seats and then settle for the guy no one has heard of? I heard that Lennon had a meeting with Dermot Desmond and was discussing signing on for a couple of more years etc, Desmond said "What would you do if an English team came calling for you?" Lennon: "I'd go". Desmond: "Pack your bags tomorrow then." The budget story is bullshit, unsurprisingly.
  17. Shame. The site really needs more traffic, so little debate on here these days.
  18. Logan is a decent player, I thought he was great in the cup final. He has his moments though like the rest and I think opposition managers will probably target his lack of height in this day of having tall full backs (aka centre backs out of position) but he'll deal with that. I'm more pleased we got him than Hector although I'd have taken Hector too. Hector's distribution was amongst the poorest I've seen for quite a while but he knew how to defend.

  20. I know, because everyone else brings thousands to Pittodrie. I hope Hibs go down, they deserve to, and that's all it should come down to. If Hamilton get the better of them over the two legs (which I think they will), they deserve their place in the league.
  21. Ridiculous advice. It's got to be number 20 you put it on, Andrew.
