  1. Norwich, eh? Crikey.
  2. Nelson Mandela is probably the bravest man to live in modern ages. That alone should bring him respect, but then you look at what he was fighting for, when he was fighting for it, and consequently who he was fighting against for it... and it makes you respect him even more. He forgave the people who wronged him in almost the worst way imaginable. The people in our country can't even respect each other when a bona fide tragedy strikes.
  3. Hold Tight London - Chemical Brothers. Beautiful. Love it. Jonny Brookes on drums too. Been listening to this for the last two days solid. Brilliant.

  5. I know what you mean Al, but they are doing well in the youth front too and (look at what he did at Falkirk too) it's down to a Dons Legend:
  6. Pawlett is the best player out the three of them by a mile and it's even more satisfying that he came from our youth system. Although I do like Hayes as well who has looked more threatening more often this season. Langfield.. well, he's done well this season although I wasn't too happy with him v Hearts last time out and I still generally don't trust him. But good luck to him, regardless.
  7. Signed Peter and Charlie Nicholas. That's his Dons highlights right there. Woeful appointment.
  8. Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba scored superb goals for Juve last night v Napoli, check them out online if you can, Pogba's in particular is an absolute cracker.
  9. Superb, I don't pay them for any of that.
  10. Fuck that. I once had a very strange conversation with Ricksen outside Malmaison in Glasgow. I am fairly certain he either wasn't all there or was stoned. Wouldn't wish MND on anyone. Supposedly pro footballers are 6 times more likely to develop MND than others. However, had to laugh at that cheating cunt McCoist's claim that Ricksen would have got into the huns nine in a row team. Instead of who exactly? Gary Stevens? Trevor Steven? Not a chance you drink driving, adultering utter mess of a man. Just because he's ill doesn't make him a better footballer than he actually was. Look forward to the huns holding a benefit game for Ricksen and then keeping all the money, the classless cunts.
  11. Cattermole supposedly walked before even seeing the red card. If you're putting in tackles that you know are red cards before the ref shows you it, you should probably do the decent thing and stop playing the game, in the interests of your peers. 8th red of his career. Dossena was also sent off. The two of them have 15 career reds between them and they're both fairly young are they not?
  12. I'd fine him for that and put him on the transfer list. He clearly has no shame. Despicable behaviour.
  13. Check out Pato's penalty for Corinthians this weekend, unbelievably bad but hilarious at the same time.
  14. Didn't see the game today, but I think Russell Anderson being back in the side does help us. I know he's past his best and I know he gets caught out now and then and I know he makes mistakes he never used to, but I think the organisation and experience he brings to the backline helps us out massively. I believe that's exactly why McInnes has brought him in for Hector who I think switches off defensively at times. If it's not that, then whatever it is hopefully continues.
  15. Holloway got a lot of plaudits from a lot of people for his Blackpool team in the PL, but let's face it, being able to set up a team defensively is as much part of the game and management as the attacking and flair side of it. And in the big league it looked as though he fell short. I'd go along with the "good Championship manager", Steve Bruce would probably fall into that too. Nothing wrong with that.

Saw Filth last night, it was good, enjoyable and there's a good bit in it for all Dandies. One of my neighbours is in it, as Chrissie... bit of a shock when I first saw her on screen...
  18. In Train then Archie's SS Archie's then train 3-1 Dons (McGinn x2, Pawlett. John Holt for them)
  19. I don't remember that either - I knew he was training with us after Villa but we never signed him and the huns got him. Have no recollection of him signing for us in 1990 at all.
  20. How many sides after that would our players have looked out for each other in the manner that team did? As soon as those manky bastards were at Simmie Miller, McLeish, McKimmie were in about it. Maybe the teams from then up until 1993 or so, but I'm really struggling to think of teams after that who would have fought for each other in that manner. Part of the overall problem I suppose. And, how good was Charlie Nicholas?
  21. Souness supposedly whipped Cooper into a frenzy before the match because he had been training with us and we had decided not to sign him - Souness was giving it the "you're not good enough for this lot" and he was clearly losing the plot on the park. Have to say I really enjoyed Simmie toeing the ball into Brown's stones and then McKimmie punting that diving prick Walters into the air. Good old fashioned football with two teams just getting on with kicking lumps out of each other. Hewitt's tackle at the end was rather enjoyable too.
  22. Highlights from Sportscene on the night of that game.
  23. I still reckon that incident was Neale Cooper's fault.
  24. Theo wasn't in goals that night as Mrs Theo went into labour that day. Theo said he wasn't playing, Aitken told him he was, Theo told him to ram it. The other players were in full support of Theo which Aitken didn't like, and then for ages after that Watt was getting picked. Theo then left for the dark side, to sit on their bench as opposed to ours. Waste of a great keeper, and just one example of why Aitken was a terrible manager overall.
