Shades of Rico, Windass with Zola and refs. The best thing for Low being dropped was that it showed how much we need someone like him in midfield. I know Flood and Robson have still to come back, but I'd like to see Low given a real run in the side now. He knows how to play the game and I think he could also be a source of goals with his late runs into the box. Jack and Reynolds were poor tonight, I'd be surprised if they have poorer matches this season.

I'd settle for Willem van der Ark at this stage....

Was Predator shite at football too?

http://i40.tinypic.com/2emeyiw.jpg[/img] Eh... couple of things here. 1. I never knew U2 were in control of that club at any point. When was it? After Achtung Baby? Felt as though they owned the world after that one. I'm going for that one. 2. I really thought U2 were Celtic fans. 3. -
Fucking hell. Evening Express Headline this week "Aberdeen Man Discovers Pants". Buy Jockeys and be pleased with it. Pierre Cardin? Are you kidding us on here man? Horrendous product.

Carragher's argument of "if Scholes was so good, why did SAF sign Juan Veron?" Hahaha... what? I actually think he's a decent enough analyst and he isn't bland which is half the battle I reckon but he got that shout massively wrong. He kept going on about how all three have played in European finals etc, nothing about winning league titles, funnily enough.

Wait a minute mate, no one has written him off. I said I was far from convinced from what I saw, Manc just said what hun mates had said and Maverick also said he hadn't seen enough to judge. It's initial thoughts, that's all. And regarding the ball in for Hayes; I made this point to my mates yesterday. If you remember, he had beaten his man. Stopped the ball. Stepped back. Looked up. Stepped forward and crossed it. Great cross, you're right. That was right after half time. I am willing to bet he had had a bollocking for not looking up before crossing, and was worried about getting hooked, and made sure of his delivery. And that's fine, but he is a winger and should be expected to be able to cross the ball on the run after having had a look at the penalty area. I hope my initial fears are wide of the mark, but I am a bit worried about him.

Good performance and good support although the booing of the "huddle" was a piece of nonsense. Pawlett was excellent and looked like the player he was when he first came through - exciting, lively and threatening. Smith did well and Jack kept everything ticking over nicely. I would say though that I am far from convinced about Wylde. Fast, but when he got the ball he rarely looked up. Never varied it at all either, always on the outside - head down and run. I thought it was Scott Muirhead with added shit tattoos.

A guy just now in U.S Baseball (not sure there's any other type of baseball actually...) has been banned for life for betting on his own team to WIN. Black gets a three game ban for betting on his team to lose. But aye, the world is against them. As for the Jim Spence stuff, loads of huns on twitter saying to him "Agree that threats etc are not on Jim, but you have to say you were asking for it". Scum. Sub-human scum. -
Lads/Ladies, we've got 4 buses from up north coming into the Rock beforehand, so if you're looking for a booze and a bit of a sing song*, then get along to the Rock. I'm going to the game, but given my proximity to Firhill I'll be having a few refreshments in my flat until 2.55pm. And the last time I was there, we won 2-1 (maybe 2-0), and I believe Andy Considine got both. Think they may have missed a penalty. It was in the league cup. *I presume the Dons fans will be singing, hopefully the karaoke hasn't started by that time.
-
And yet there are those who were very vocal in their criticisms of him at the time - mostly to do with his demeanour, perceived laziness at times. But if you mention that these days Dons fans deny this ever happened. The Northern Light and possibly The Red Final were also quite critical of him... and there were games he quite blatantly just couldn't be arsed in.

The same Davie Cooper who couldn't get into a very poor Rangers side? Great talent, but not sure he was a great player and not sure he was better than Bale. Agree on Peter Weir though.

Nope, does all sports too. Watched a couple of German matches at the weekend as well as a bit of Everton-Cardiff. I've been using it for over a year and it's never let me down.

Wasn't asking you.

Really? I thought United had the lions share of the game - ok they didn't play that well considering who they are but I thought Liverpool offered nothing in return considering they were the home team. Did 'pool even get in United's box in the second half? I can't remember it if they did. But yeah, Welbeck, brutal. Offers nothing. Threatens even less.
-
From what I've seen of him, he runs in straight lines too much - harder to get the ball to, harder to stay on-side, easier to mark etc. And like others, I'd rather see Shankland and/or McManus given a chance if there is going to be a place available for another first team forward.

Apparently shouting something about "sheep shaggers" according to Ewen Murray (Guardian journalist and Jambo).

Chuck Green walks away again and promises to sell his shares -
It's behind a paywall ST. I had to go and buy the paper itself... in this day and age!

Lovely obituary/tribute in the Times on Friday by Tim Burgess. Said that from the minute he saw Jon play drums he knew he was one of the best drummers in the world... he saw him play one month ago when Jon was very ill and that opinion was exactly the same. He supposedly had written a couple of songs while he was ill too so I hope The Charlatans carry on and get these songs out to their fans. People don't realise that Jon wrote a lot of their stuff - he wrote How High, for example and a big chunk of One To Another - so hopefully we get to hear the last songs he wrote.

Barry's a good guy, hope he does well too. Falcao - Personally reckon that he's realised Monaco is a fucking shithole. But supposedly he's saying that promises on the "Monaco Project" have been broken ergo it's a breach of contract. In saying that, he played and scored today so not sure how accurate those reports are. Juve pumped Lazio 4-0 in the Italian Super Cup, delightful for those of us who had more than 3.5 goals , but their strikeforce this season looks a bit tasty!
