Why does Green keep believing what Regan tells him as to where the huns will be next season? One SFL Chairman has said that the huns will be playing in a league of one should SPL 2 come to pass.

And I suspect their application will be declined.

Should they be parachuted magically back into the SPL... can anyone tell me how on earth they're going to fulfil their fixtures? My money is on the following happening: Voted no to Div1 so would need to start at Div3 should their application be successful. Green walks away. There's then an almighty fight over assets and ownership of names etc. There's no "hun newco" in any senior league in Scotland next season. Div 3 left with uneven number of teams. "Spawn of huns FC" finally gets it's shit together a year from now and takes the vacant spot in the league, with manager Ally McCoist, Chairman John Brown and midfield starlet Paul Gascoigne.

And yet he also says "Division 3 is the way we have to go. We will just deal with the ramifications as they happen". Which could also point to any attempt of getting them into the SPL thrown out there and then. There is also an extremely good chance Regan (and Doncaster?) will be asked to resign or face a vote of no confidence at today's meeting... given that, it would be unlikely they propose anything else along those lines.

And yet his chairman said something else altogether. You're cherry picking the bits you want to fit your cynicism Jute. Everything the media has spun so far has been wrong.

It's worth remembering that the huns are still technically in administration as that process has not been completed yet. The administration period must continue while its being investigated; so, if it is still ongoing when the SPL starts, are they expected to take part? Or will common sense come into it for once?

I'm amazed that even despite how fucking monumentally thick their support is, there are 250 of them who have taken it to new levels and basically thrown their money down the toilet.

I'm not saying it's unreasonable, I said I can understand it, just that if we want this to work then I think we have to rise above it. I can fully understand people turning their backs on it - let's face it, the game in this country is worse than shite - but I don't think folk can really be all pious about helping each other out while they're also saying to another club "That's you fucked now", especially when that club went against the wishes of its own support.

I'm not really comfortable with all this boycott stuff (not saying you are, Tyrant). I can obviously understand why, but it's tantamount to bullying; "Vote the way we want you to vote or we'll fuck you over next season". Which, last time I looked, is a pretty similar way to how the huns have acted through all of this. People keep banging on about making the league stronger and how this is an opportunity for the game to grow; it simply won't if that's the attitude of people.

I thought it strange the Telegraph made a point of mentioning Green didn't don the huns "uniform" at the meeting yesterday but the other 2 chumps did. Same at last night's Fighting Fannies meeting... he doesn't desire the chaos that'd come from the symbolism of it and then "turning them to dust". Appearing to be one of them and then destroying them is taking the piss just a bit much...even for him.

Reuters reporting the SFL meeting next week will now take place on Friday the 13th...
