  1. Eh? Difference does that make? Lib Dems... fucking hell. really?
  2. Why? We had exactly the same question last season... and the season before that... and the one before that. Bar a couple of seasons, it's been like this for Milne's tenure so why will the alarm bells be going now? "We're not going to get relegated, so that's ok" is no doubt the attitude. The club trundles along; a weary, pathetic form of its former self and no one at Pittodrie seems that arsed about it. With the way things are going at the Bronx, Scottish Football could be about to change for good, it could be a chance for Aberdeen to stride forward but there is not a chance we will take the opportunity. I don't think it's too dramatic to say that the spirit has been sucked from the support. The club are so low now I expect absolutely nothing from them; be it the board, the management or the players. The two latter groups will change again soon no doubt but it will be the same story regardless. I am absolutely scunnered with it all. I've never been to so few games as I have this season and the saddest thing is that I can see a similar scenario next season.
  3. I know mate. I'd take Clarkson over any of our strikers.
  4. Yip. He'll strip them of their assets and fuck off. Huns are supposedly going to be/have been protesting against him. I do wonder though if due diligence will be done on this guy as all signs point to him being as big a wide boy as Whyte. Isn't it strange as well that he's so keen on buying the huns but hasn't once bothered his arse to visit the place?
  5. Clarkson's quite good though, is he not...?
  6. Clangers gets a two year deal.
  7. It's ok, he's out of contract this summer.... oh.
  8. I'd imagine there have been "developments" at the huns which has led to this being postponed. A lot of people are touting liquidation for them within the next 48 hours, if true it makes sense holding off just now.
  9. my thinking too. I think it's also why they asked for £500k non-refundable deposit to be the preferred bidder; they needed it to tide them over. That cheating cunt Mccoist was supposedly on the radio earlier saying he reckons the end of May could see them liquidated. If things are so bad that they can't even make it to the transfer window to attempt to get some funds in, then they must be struggling to keep it afloat at present.
  10. He's got a proven SPL goal scorer in his squad right now and chooses to play him wide so he can play some guy through the middle who thinks football is played in the air. Play Vernon through the middle and if a stellar signing is to be made make it someone who can open defences up... be it a central midfielder or god forbid, a decent wide man.
  11. Yes, it will be.
  12. Lennon was in Oran Mor last night apparently ranting at anyone who'd listen about the corrupt Scottish football establishment and standard of refs etc. The man's an arse.
  13. How you doing stuart? that'd be good. when you free? EDIT: Meant to say Stuart, we've planned to start pre-season friendlies from the middle of July onwards, so if you could fit it around then that'd be ideal. Cheers, Greg.
  14. Booth was always a thinker, you could see that in his play. Never as dynamic or inventive as Jess but he made the right runs and played as a team player and Jess didn't necessarily do either in his early years despite his devastating brilliance at times. Paul Mason... my favourite player after Brian Grant probably (after the obvious ones, obviously... ). Mason could have played football on the ridge of a razor blade and not only that he'd have looked cool as fuck, he'd still have the ball.... A player I enjoyed watching immensely and when he left for Ipswich I was gutted. Much like Scott Booth, I don't think he was fully appreciated until he was gone. Guys like that leaving really signalled our decline. Painful.
  15. I hope you're right, but I have a feeling for this: -13 Mickelson -10 Oosthuizen -9 Hanson -8 Bubba Good post.
  16. The thing is rocket, it's easy to say who won't win a tournie because only one man can win out of nigh on 100 (or more). your reasoning is sound, largely, so why not stick your neck out on a winner beforehand? it's just a bit of fun afterall.
  17. Bryan Prunty.
  18. AFC have asked for more tickets as they're close to selling the 12,500. Expecting 15,000+. Hibs have sold 8000.
  19. No, he isn't. But fair fucks to you in doing that, it's a tough old gig, I'm sure.
  20. Got a couple of quid on Oosthuizen. Also had a couple of quid on Jason Day before it came out he's carrying an injury and other smaller bets on Cabrera and Haas. Yourself?
  21. Defaulted on their Council Tax by the looks of it. Classy. Is it not JJB they're in partnership with? They sell their strips through them, no?
