  1. no, we're doing very well at that. We're struggling at scoring goals. Which is a bit of a pain when it's the object of the game.
  2. Who's hounding him? It's just folk expressing an opinion on an internet site. He isn't as good as Jess - at the moment, or would you say otherwise? Should we say he is, just in case he's reading this? I agree with GS, he is the most (or has the potential to be) exciting player since Jess. I saw him play in a more central role at Ibrox when he first came through and he was tremendous, ran at the defence in the same manner Jess used to - big centre halves hate that, full backs are more used to it. Get the ball to him just off the striker/s and give him the room to run at them, exactly as Jess did when he partnered Gillhaus in particular.
  3. Aye, from James McFadden to this...? Aye right.
  4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rory_Fallon On trial with us. A striker who will only sign for us if God tells him to:
  5. Aye, it's an OF problem that has been there for years and years so why the urgency to eradicate it now? The only thing I can think of is that because of more live games, annonymous internet postings available for all to read world wide etc, certain politicians are shiting it over how we look to the rest of the world. The fact is when it comes to anything that is so ingrained, if it's what you honestly believe then these things won't change. Getting through to people who hate something for hate's sake or because it's bordering on family tradition, is nigh on impossible. A far better use of time and resources would be to attempt to improve the country's relationship with drink, as that's when a lot of these issues arise - a prime example of this being the domestic abuse stat after OF games... people aren't abusing their partners because they support Celtic or Rangers, they're doing it because they have a chronic relationship with drink.
  6. what she said was spot on, "hun" isn't a reference to religion or beliefs, just Rangers fans. Dingwall, the hun, with whom I've unfortunately had some dealings with in the past and is a monutmental cretin, wants all "offensive" singing, shouts etc stopped as the poor wee huns are being picked on, or so he says.
  7. I think this really could be it for Scottish football. Crowds at every ground have been dwindling for years, and now, to add to the all-seater, soulless stadia, you won't be allowed to dis-like the opposition (if that nuggett Dingwall has his way) or even think you may have some ill-feeling towards them. Even Aberdeen-Huns (arrest me now!) games at Pittodrie are no fun anymore as they've managed to zap the life out of them with early kick offs. Now you won't even be able to call Lee McCulloch a "dirty scab faced bastard vermin cunt" without ending up in the dock on a Monday morning and some moron with a red hand of ulster scarf round his neck crying to the Police about being mortally offended at it all. They're doing everything they can to kill the game, but as long as no one gets offended it'll be ok...
  8. Sorry Penfold, can't help with that but does anyone know why this is on Sunday? It's not on TV is it?

    Andy Murray

The big difference between him and the top three... they rarely do this, he does this often. It saps his energy.
  10. He was back playing, thankfully. Would actually like to see him in a central 3 midfield with Osbourne and Arnassen. That's pretty much all the ingredients you'd need (from what i've seen of the two new guys anyway)

    Andy Murray

Second set??? I thought he was out in the second round there!! Edit - Sorry, i read his first set score as Murray having won it! He shouldn't wear red....
  12. Good shouts fellas. Never thought of Heikkinen, he was a really tidy player.
  13. Was Booth a regular then? I thought his best run was in the Euro 96 qualifiers. He left us in 97, too.
  14. As it's the international weekend, i was wondering who was the last Don to be a regular for his country... I just keep coming up with Jim Leighton (98/99) and probably Stewart McKimmie (Euro 96) before that. Has there been anyone since then who has been a regular starter? I can't think of one (although I'm sure D'Jaffo was a regular for Benin...)
  15. They've lined up some guy from Tigres on loan, i think.
  16. In the case of Shaugnessy and Low, they're not going to get many chances at Pittodrie this season, so is there any point in them hanging around when they can get experience of senior football elsewhere? I think this has more to do with the lack of a reserve league rather than penny pinching, I can't see Forfar picking up their whole wage for the duration of the loan.
  17. I don't think that's the case at all. I still wouldn't be surprised if another player was brought in today.
  18. I've probably just got that wrong.
  19. Put Hibs out the League cup on pens in the mid-90's i think, struggling to think of any other time though.
  20. 2-1, Megginson from the spot.
  21. Nope, I was in my flat watching Man Utd today after getting back from holiday at 2 this morning. Didn't know if Id make it back in time for Ibrox so never bought a ticket before I left. Why the fuck you should ever question my support or why I should have to justify myself to you I'm not sure, but I'm sure you'll explain that to me next time I see you.
  22. Or maybe Fergie just no longer sees him as a threat, hence the more amicable attitude. He's had Wenger's number for years now. That was the worst arsenal side I've seen for years, today. Absolutely rudderless; hugely short on game intelligence, confidence and leadership.
