  1. I wouldn't say their reaction was down to him being made captain. They were singing "Foster's a hun" or words to that effect.
  2. Wouldn't imagine they'd jump to £1m from £50k
  3. It really does take a special kind of cunt to travel all the way to Germany for your summer holidays and once you're there, sing abuse and boo one of the people you've specifically gone to see. That really is quite remarkable, in the words of David Coleman. Absolute fucking spangles.
  4. Great organiser, spoke to his colleagues rather than screamed at them, but led them well and took responsibility the way a captain should - never shirked anything. More a Bryan Robson style captain than a Roy Aitken style.
  5. harsh on Anderson, certainly one who doesnt send a shiver down my spine anyway.
  6. I have heard people say that Shewan was a good player, don't know much about him unfortunately.
  7. update above. Osbourne must go etc
  8. Pat McKenna put in a fair shift as captain eh?
  9. article on the Dons Captains through the years: http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20110706/aberdeen-captains-_2212158_2387692 A few names there to send a shiver down your spine... MBT... was Ecky Halkett any use?
  10. anyone know what it is that eleven are staring at?
  11. I've always had a suspicion that Adam needs to be the big fish in a small pond (St Mirren, Blackpool) and that if he was in a big pond he may actually be out his depth. Suppose this move won't confirm my theory however.... (only kidding Tyrant! )
  12. says on Redweb it's for the season. Thought it was between him and Mawene for it, considering Mawene's only signed for a year and Foster's been here for a while it makes sense I suppose.
  13. Which in turn is surely in agreement with Jute then? That's what i was misunderstanding. Had Anderson not had his injury in the 2000 Cup Final I think he would have left long before he did.
  14. Wouldn't disagree in the slightest. Mackie, Paton, Magennis, Langfield (only gave him a 1 year deal, which was a bit strange), McArdle.
  15. Holland? In all seriousness, it was reported elsewhere today that Brown has said that there are still quite a few players he'd like to get rid of. Who do you reckon then?
  16. I've got fucking no idea what point it is you're trying to make here.
  17. Like Henrik Larsson?
  18. German keeper Andreas Rossi and Swiss attacking midfielder Edis Colic have joined us on trial today
  19. ...has turned us down again. A very good offer was made to him apparently but he wants to be in the central belt. He's now likely to sign for St Mirren...
  20. I like his goal v motherwell at home, that was when he looked as though he was a player.
  21. The two trialists going to Germany are only just joining up with the squad so not Oldfield and Bendongo. De Visscher - thought he was never given a chance and always found weird JC thought he was a "fast, tricky winger" before he joined. He clearly wasn't that but the guy knew how to play football, a rare thing for our playing staff in recent seasons.
  22. 2 trialists going on pre-season tour. One's a keeper and the other a striker
