A fair bit of conjecture there maverick. re Riordan trying to win matches on his own for us: maybe he would, i'm not sure. But, one of Maguire's most frustrating traits is the "head down and try to take on the whole defence" trick. Going on goals scored, Riordan is clearly a bit better at it than Maguire.

That's nonsense mate. Riordan is the third highest SPL scorer, and while he may be way behind Boyd and Larsson, he gets goals, something Maguire didn't do for us on a consistent basis (think his record is worse than 1 every 7 games or so).

Rumours are gathering pace about him signing for us by the end of the week...what do you make about that then??
